UFC Predictions
Cannetti lost his UFC debut in 2014 but he came back and got a huge upset win against Hugo Viana. Things didn’t go that well for Cannetti after that win as he had to deal with injuries and a drug suspension. He was off for over two years and his results since are mixed, as he lost to Kyung Ho Kang while beating Diego Rivas. On the other side, Vera has never really lived up to expectations. He can be really good with a highlight-reel submission or he can just as easily get knocked out. Cannetti may be a bit underrated, but Vera has most of the advantages in this fight. The edge for Cannetti would be in striking, while Vera has the edge on the round. I think Vera has the edge, but I don’t know that it is a 3-1 edge, which is where the odds are. I’ll just take the fight to go under the rounds total.
