UFC Predictions
This will not be an easy light heavyweight bout for either Ankalaev or Prachnio. Ankalaev signed with the UFC as a top prospect with some powerful ground-and-pound but he couldn’t even handle Paul Craig, as he was beaten by triangle choke in the last ten seconds of the bout. Prachnio is somewhat one-dimensional but at least he’s fun to watch, as he is a powerful striker. He wasn’t able to do much in his UFC debut, as he was knocked out by Sam Alvey this past February. Prachnio has a chance in this fight with Ankalaev’s striking being poor. Ankalaev should be able to use his wrestling without much trouble and if he can avoid some early strikes by Prachnio this should not be much of a battle. I will take Ankalaev to get the win in this fight, likely by stoppage. I also can’t see this fight going the distance, as I expect Ankalaev to get Prachnio to the mat with relative ease. This fight should end in the first or second round, so I will also play the rounds to go under the total.
