Tony Ferguson (25-5, 15-3 UFC)

Ferguson came into the UFC with a record of 10-2 and he has 15 wins and three losses in the UFC. In his last five fights, he has three wins and two losses. Ferguson is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Oliveira in December of last year. Ferguson also lost by TKO to Justin Gaethje in May of last year. Ferguson previously won by TKO against Donald Cerrone in June of 2019, won by TKO against Anthony Pettis in October of 2018 and submitted Kevin Lee in October of 2017. Ferguson has been a pro since 2008 and he has 12 wins by TKO/KO and eight by submission. He has nine first round finishes.

Dariush came into the UFC with a record of 6-0 and he has 14 wins, four losses and a draw in the UFC. He is unbeaten in his last six fights. Dariush has been a pro since 2009 and he has five wins by TKO/KO and eight by submission. He has eight first round finishes.

Dariush is planning a very dangerous strategy on Saturday, as he intends to trade shots with Ferguson. "Tony, he's either number one or number two as the best lightweights of all time. And for everything he brings for me, I have to bring back two or three.” Dariush said to the media, “Because he's so wild, if you hit him with one, he'll be like, that's ok I'll trade you one for one." Dariush said he is going to go all out and hold nothing back. "Tony can out crazy a lot of people. And so a lot of my gameplan might be just out crazying Tony. It's gonna be my dream or his dream. This is where it's decided."

UFC Picks

If Dariush can be believed in what he said then this fight is going to be full of fireworks for as long as it lasts. I think Dariush is foolish to try and go in and trade shots with Ferguson, as that is a recipe for getting knocked out. I’ll make two plays in this fight and take Ferguson and play the rounds to go under.
