Cat Zingano (10-3, 3-3 UFC)

Zingano came into the UFC with a record of 7-0 and she has three wins and three losses in the UFC. She defeated Miesha Tate by TKO, Amanda Nunes by TKO, and Marion Reneau by unanimous decision; while losing to Ronda Rousey by submission, Julianna Peña by unanimous decision, and Ketlen Vieira by split decision. Zingano has been a pro since 2008 and has five wins by TKO/KO and three by submission. She has two first round finishes.

Zingano said this to mmafighting.com about her upcoming fight against Anderson, “She’s a large girl, and definitely has the length and the size in her back pocket, but depending on opponent’s strengths and stuff, I like those long legs. That’s a whole lot of legs to grab on to. I feel I can definitely move faster than her. I think I’m stronger, I think I have a lot more weapons and tools to use. She got that UFC rust off, so she knows what it’s like to be in there now, and I expect that it’ll be a much more exciting fight, but I’m not sleeping on her. I think that she’s a really tough opponent and she’s game. She’s got that look in her eye and I think it’s a very interesting, very good matchup.”

Megan Anderson (8-3, 0-1 UFC)

Anderson came into the UFC with a record of 8-2 and she has no wins and one loss in the UFC. She lost to Holly Holm by unanimous decision in June of 2018. Anderson’s last win was against Charmaine Tweet by TKO in January of 2017. Anderson has been a pro since 2013 and has four wins by TKO/KO and two by submission. She has three first round finishes.

Anderson said this to ufc.om about her upcoming fight against Zingano, “I think this is a great fight for me. Cat isn’t going to be scared to fight me. She’s going to pressure, she’s going to come forward; she does that in every single one of her fights. I’m excited to fight someone who is going to bring it.”

UFC Predictions

Anderson was thought to be a fighter who could eventually defeat Cris Cyborg but that changed when Anderson lost her UFC debut against Holly Holm. This is a huge fight for Anderson to bounce back and get back into serious title discussion. Zingano has won three of out of her six UFC fights and has more experience but Anderson is capable of bouncing back with a big effort on Saturday. I will take Anderson to get the win at plus money.
