The FedExCup Playoffs conclude this weekend with the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, as the top 30 players go for the title. Jordan Spieth is listed as the favorite to win this event at odds of +450, while Dustin Johnson is the second choice at odds of +750. If any of the top five players in the FedExCup standings win this event, that player will win the FedExCup. The FedExCup Playoffs are down to the final two events, with only the top 30 players in the standings advancing to next week’s Tour Championship. Just two events remain in the FedExCup Playoffs, beginning with the BMW Championship this week at Conway Farm just outside of Chicago. A total of 70 players will tee it up in Chicago, with the top 30 in FedExCup points after Sunday advancing to next week’s Tour Championship. Jordan Spieth leads the standings and he is a slight favorite to win this week at odds of +650. Dustin Johnson is the second choice at odds of +750. The other top contenders are Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Jason Day, Rickie Fowler and Hideki Matsuyama. Let’s look at this event, odds and predictions.... 

The Presidents Cup gets underway in late September at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, New Jersey with the United States team more than a 2-1 favorite to defeat the International team. The U.S. team is loaded, as they have arguably the best three players in the world in Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas. The International team does have Hideki Matsuyama and Jason Day, but the U.S. team is simply better from top to bottom. The United States has nine wins in this event that began in 1994, while the International team has just one win. The teams tied in 2003.... 

Could we see Tiger Woods playing competitive golf anytime soon? The 14-time major champion has not been in action since January when he had to withdraw from the Dubai Desert Classic with back spasms. He previously had missed the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open. The last time he had a decent finish was at his own Hero World Challenge late in 2016 and he has not won an event since the 2013 Bridgestone Invitational. Woods underwent a fourth back surgery earlier this year and he was recently cleared to begin hitting golf balls again.... 

Dustin Johnson is a slight favorite to win the Dell Technologies Championship, which begins on Friday at TPC Boston. Johnson won a thrilling playoff last week at The Northern Trust, as he defeated Jordan Spieth. Johnson is a slight favorite over Spieth this week, with Johnson listed at +688, while Spieth is +728. It is a major drop to the third choice in the betting, as Hideki Matsuyama is listed at +1621. It was a rare off week for us with the matchups at The Northern Trust, as we went 2-3. We’ll look to get back on the winning track at the Dell Technologies Championship.... 

The second event in the FedEx Cup Playoffs is the Dell Technologies Championship, which begins on Friday and concludes on Monday. We can only hope it is as good as last week’s Northern Trust, which was won by Dustin Johnson in a playoff over Jordan Spieth. Those two are listed as co-favorites at odds of +750 to win this week. It is a big drop to the next group of players who are listed at +1450.Let’s look at the odds and some players to consider for this event.... 

FedExCup points leader Hideki Matsuyama is favored to win The Northern Trust, which begins on Thursday. This event begins the FedExCup playoffs and almost all of the top players in the world are in the field. The only player in the top 25 not in the field is Sergio Garcia. Glen Oaks Golf Club in Old Westbury, New York will host a PGA Tour event for the first time with the playing of The Northern Trust.
