The New York Giants sat their dynamic passing duo of quarterback Eli Manning and wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. in the preseason opener, and not surprisingly they lost 27-10 to the Dolphins. Both could be on track to play in Week 2 of the preseason against the Buffalo Bills, and their availability could play a key role in the outcome. The Giants are road underdogs but could escape with a victory, but only if they get some early production from the quarterback and his star receiver. A broken ankle to backup quarterback Kellen Moore has Dallas Cowboys fans in a state of panic, but Dak Prescott is aiming to ease those fears. The rookie draft pick looked fantastic in his preseason debut and another showing or two like that should have Dallas feeling better about its signal-caller situation behind star Tony Romo. The Arizona Cardinals may have one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL, but it wasn’t evident in their season opener. Two up-and-coming quarterbacks with a high ceiling will be on display when the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers face off in Week 2 of the NFL preseason. The teams’ fortunes could rest on the play of Blake Bortles and Jameis Winston, and while veteran signal-callers don’t play a lot in the preseason, this could be important for development as both are still young. Even though preseason games aren’t usually indicative or regular season results, the New Orleans Saints defense continued to struggle at the outset of 2016. After a porous defense held the team back last season, it allowed 34 points to the Patriots in the first game of the preseason. The Saints hope to pick it up and look better in Week 2 of the preseason when they face off against the Houston Texans and their new quarterback and running back duo of Brock Osweiler and Lamar Miller.... 

Aaron Rodgers is likely going to make his preseason debut in Week 2 of the exhibition slate against the Oakland Raiders. But how much will the Green Bay Packers’ star quarterback see the field? That still remains to be seen. Rodgers can swing a point spread all on his own but he isn’t expected to factor much into the result as coach Mike McCarthy prefers instead to avoid injury. Robert Griffin III has been named the starter of the Cleveland Browns, but his preseason debut didn’t make anyone mistake him for the rookie sensation of 2012. This could be Griffin’s final shot at a starting quarterback gig, and he will aim to turn it on in Week 2 of the preseason when the Browns take on the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have a below average first-team defense so Griffin III will aim to find a rhythm in this contest, but Atlanta will counter with a good offense against a weak Cleveland defense.This Week 2 preseason contest will be held on Thursday, August 18th, 2016, at 8 p.m. ET at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.... 

Quarterback play can often be erratic in the preseason with so many backups getting considerable playing time, but the Detroit Lions passers put together a nice showing in last week’s debut. They will aim to keep it up in Week 2 of the preseason against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Lions have several new receiving targets and many of them got in on the action in the opening win. The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL when the regular season comes around. It just might not show up in their Week 2 preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, wide receiver Antonio Brown and running back Le’Veon Bell all sat in the opener against the Detroit Lions and could see limited time once again in this matchup. The Eagles quarterbacks have more to prove, and that could help translate into a win in NFL wagering.... 

Jimmy Garoppolo’s time to lead the New England Patriots in the regular season is quickly approaching. He will get another tune-up in Week 2 of the preseason against the Chicago Bears. Garoppolo will step in for the suspended Tom Brady for the first four games of the season. He has never started an NFL game and is hoping to get up to speed quickly. He hopes to excel against Chicago, and Garoppolo’s performance could swing the outcome in NFL betting.... 

The Minnesota Vikings are still smarting from their unlikely NFC wild card playoff exit a year ago, when kicker Blair Walsh missed a chip-shot field goal at the end of regulation. The Seattle Seahawks won the game 10-9 and advanced to the NFC Divisional round while the Vikings went home. While it won’t make up for that crushing defeat, Minnesota can get a small measure of revenge with a win over Seattle in Week 2 of the preseason in NFL wagering.... 

In fantasy football, there is nothing better than finding a late-round sleeper to add to a strong core of players. Alternatively, there is nothing worse than drafting a player to have a big role and watching them fall short of expectations. Avoiding potential draft busts is important for every team, and below are a list of players who could be buyer beware in 2016 in fantasy football betting.... 

The Washington Redskins surprised many last year with their run to the NFC East title and just their second playoff appearance in eight seasons. Someone had to win the pitiful division and the Skins took a shot, finishing as the only team above .500. Washington still has plenty to prove as they aren’t even projected to finish in the top half of the division in 2016.... 

The revolving door at Cleveland Browns headquarters keeps spinning and Hue Jackson is the latest to walk through it. Jackson is the sixth head coach since the Browns last posted a winning record in 2007, and none of the previous four have lasted more than two seasons. As offensive coordinator with the Bengals the past two years, Jackson helped develop Andy Dalton into a premier signal-caller. He now hopes to resurrect the career of RG3.... 

The San Diego Chargers and Tennessee Titans combined to win seven games last season. They both have something to prove in 2016, just don’t expect them to show much when they open the preseason slate on Saturday. That’s because the teams will meet in Week 9 of the regular season. I know, that’s nearly three months away, but head coaches in the NFL are funny about divulging too much, especially since it can be captured on video.... 

Anxious to get the preseason underway, the Colts have to wait an additional week before opening their preseason. Indy was scheduled to play Green Bay in the Hall of Fame Game last Sunday, but a groundskeeping malfunction forced a cancellation. For many fans, early preseason action is like watching paint dry. But for the fringe players on the roster, they missed out on a chance to make an impression. So did Andrew Luck, who enters the season with a huge contract and a repaired kidney.... 

Early preseason games can get awfully boring by the time the second half rolls around. But this one will have some extra meaning to it. Los Angeles will host its first NFL game with its own team since the Rams and Raiders both left town following the 1994 season. The Rams last played a game at the Coliseum during the 1979 season before moving to Orange County.... 

Last season was a step in the right direction for the Kansas City Chiefs. They bounced back from a dismal 1-5 start to reel off 11 consecutive victories, only to lose out on the AFC West title by a game to eventual Super Bowl champion Denver. They won their first playoff game since 1994, snapping an eight-game skid in the process. And now they have their sights set higher entering their fourth season under head coach Andy Reid.... 

Chip Kelly is a much flashier head coach than Jim Tomsula and his hiring created a buzz in the Bay Area. However, the Niners roster hasn’t changed much from that 5-11 disaster last season and Kelly isn’t the genius to turn this thing around. San Francisco was plain boring offensively in 2015, finishing dead last in the NFL in points per game. That will likely change with Kelly at the helm, but the wins will be just as difficult to come by.... 

Fantasy football Betting Online: In fantasy football drafts, it’s imperative to hit on the first few picks so a few stars can be penciled into the lineup every week. Owners don’t have to worry about the production of those players since they are so steady. However, it’s just as important to identify potential sleeper picks to add in the late rounds. The nightmare that was the 2015 season can finally be put in the rearview mirror by the Baltimore Ravens as they begin what is expected to be a run to playoff contention in 2016. The Carolina Panthers saw their last season end on the bad side of a Super Bowl score to Denver and begin their quest for what they hope is a season of redemption.... 

The Jaguars became one of the most improved teams in the NFL this offseason and many have them in the hunt for the AFC South crown. But looking good on paper is a far cry from showing it on the field. The Jags haven’t finished in the top half of their division since 2010 and haven’t had a winning record since their last playoff appearance a decade ago. Nabbing a victory in the preseason opener might make some people believers.... 

Two more non-playoff teams from 2015 with new head coaches square off in the preseason opener. After 12 years and two Super Bowl victories, the Giants said goodbye to Tom Coughlin and brought in former offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo. Adam Gase was the OC for a 6-10 Bears team last year and somehow landed the gig in South Beach. They are the two youngest head coaches in the NFL, and combined they are about seven years older than Coughlin....
