NFL Betting – NFL Draft Props

Need to get your NFL fix on? Well, the 2019 NFL Draft is right around the corner and BookMaker.eu has a plethora of prop bets available to make the proceedings more interesting. It’s not up there with the Super Bowl as far as the number of props, but to spice up the draft there are plenty of wagering possibilities. Of course there is the wager for the No. 1 overall pick and Kyler Murray is the favorite to be taken by the Arizona Cardinals.

The first round of the Draft takes place on Thursday, April 25 from Nashville, Tenn. The draft will span three days, cover seven rounds, be televised by the league’s media partners and include a total of 254 selections with compensatory picks included. All of the excitement, of course, takes place in the early rounds and at the very beginning of the Draft with the No. 1 overall pick.

BookMaker and other top NFL sportsbooks will have you ready to take your draft party to the next level. The Cards are on the clock first and they could use help throughout their roster. I’m not sure drafting Murray first overall is the way to go, but the club has been enamored with the Heisman Trophy winner since he declared. The event is always unpredictable, which makes the hundreds of mock drafts leading up to the first day pointless.

Quarterbacks always spark interest at the draft and with several teams hungry for a franchise signal-caller, there are a number of bets regarding the most important position on the football field. The crop this year isn’t as rich as last year when five QBs were taken among the first 10 picks, but there are several intriguing possibilities, led by Murray. Let’s take a closer look at a few props involving quarterbacks.

Which Team Drafts Dwayne Haskins

New York Giants +263

Washington Redskins +291

Oakland Raiders +335

Miami Dolphins +757

Denver Broncos +1608

Field (Any other Team) +213

Murray is widely viewed as the No. 1 pick, but is he the best quarterback available? Haskins has plenty to say about that after his stellar campaign at Ohio State. I guess it all depends on what team has the higher pick and what that team is looking for. New Cards’ coach Kliff Kingsbury had Baker Mayfield at Texas Tech and his offense is designed for a player like Murray and not Josh Rosen. I believe taking Murray would be a mistake for the Cards, who could trade the pick for a package to address many of their needs.

Getting back on track, let’s talk about Haskins and his options. There are several clubs in need of a quarterback and those teams have picks early in the first round. The Giants need an exit strategy for Eli Manning and they have the No. 6 and No. 17 picks. Washington acquired Case Keenum, but they could use a fresh face in the huddle. The Skins own the No. 15 pick.

Haskins is considered a first-rounder, but the Giants will look for defensive help with their first pick, leaving a few teams before their next selection. Oakland has three first-round picks and they also have Derek Carr, who is in the prime of his career. I don’t think the Raiders are in the running.

The knock on Haskins is that he’s not a finished product, but who is? Needing time to develop makes him a candidate for a team later in the first round that already has a QB in place. A few teams fit that bill like the Green Bay Packers at No. 30 and the New England Patriots at No. 32.

How many QB's Drafted in 1st rd. 2019 NFL Draft

Over 3.5 -450
Under 3.5 +300

And that brings us to this prop listed at BookMaker. How many quarterbacks will be drafted in the first-round? A lot depends on what the Cards do at No. 1. Trading Josh Rosen to a team in need could take a first-rounder off the board, and with only four QBs projected to go in the opening 32 picks, that could be devastating for the over.

However, the four are all quality players and there are a number of teams that need to address the future of the position. Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger and Eli Manning aren’t getting any younger and there time is coming to an end. The next generation of QBs is ready to take over, and while this crop isn’t as talented as last years, they are quality players. Murray is headed to Arizona, or to a team that trades up to get him. Haskins, Drew Locke and Daniel Jones should all go in the first-round making the over a payday.
