Green Bay Packers Season Win Total Betting

Matt LaFleur has been one of the NFL’s best head coaches since replacing Mike McCarthy as the man on the sidelines for the Green Bay Packers. McCarthy posted losing records in his last two seasons with the franchise, but LaFleur has led the Packers to 13 wins in each of his first three years at the helm. Unfortunately, the Packers have disappointed in the playoffs though, and they have still been to just one Super Bowl despite having one of the game’s greatest quarterbacks in Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay was able to re-sign Rodgers to an extension this offseason, but he is 38 years old, and only Tom Brady has been able to be an elite signal caller in his 40s.

Green Bay Packers Offense

Aaron Rodgers’ future was up in the air coming into last season. After Green Bay lost in the NFC Championship Game, Rodgers made some vague statements about his future and refused to participate in team activities until just before training camp. At that point, Rodgers and the Packers agreed to restructure his contract to a one-year deal, and it looked like his time in Green Bay was at an end.

Rodgers was one of the NFL’s elite signal callers again in 2021, throwing for over 4,000 yards and 37 touchdowns with just four interceptions. Numerous teams expressed interest in him this offseason, but he opted to sign a huge new contract with Green Bay, and he is now likely to retire with the Packers. Rodgers signed a three-year, $150 million contract with the Packers in March, and that will make sure the team is competitive for as long as he is playing at a high level.

However, shortly after Rodgers signed that new contract, the Packers lost their star receiver. Davante Adams let it be known that he wanted a new deal too, but Green Bay opted to trade him to Las Vegas for a first-round pick and a second-round pick. Green Bay will now look to make do with a motley crew of receivers. Oft-injured Sammy Watkins was signed this offseason, and Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs were taken in the draft. Amari Rodgers barely had an impact as a rookie last year, and both Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb have been disappointments.

This ground game is in good hands though. A.J. Dillon and Aaron Jones combined to run for over 1,600 yards last season. They both proved to be solid receivers out of the backfield too, and that was a pleasant surprise in Dillon’s case. This offensive line has two elite players in tackles David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins, but the interior of the line is made up of three late-round draft picks taken in the last couple years.

Green Bay Packers Defense

The Packers used both of their first-round picks on defense again. Green Bay took defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt and linebacker Quay Walker out of Georgia, and they are hoping that those two players can make an instant impact in this front seven. This defense has the potential to be one of the best in the league if both Wyatt and Walker can immediately produce.

Kenny Clark and Jarran Reed are solid veterans that can stop the run up front, and De’Vondre Campbell had an excellent season in the second level. Preston Smith is a solid pass rusher, and Rashan Gary finally started to contribute in his third season. This secondary is young and talented too with Jaire Alexander being named an All-Pro in 2020, and Eric Stokes might be set to have a breakout year in 2022.

Prediction

All the pieces are in place for Green Bay to have another great season. The Packers should have one of the best defenses in the league, and Rodgers is likely to overcome the issues at receiver. It would be a huge shock if Green Bay didn’t win the NFC North for the fourth straight season, so the ‘Over’ is the play.
