Clemson cruised through the season with a 13-0 record. While their SU numbers are impressive, they’ve struggled to live up to the spreads set by the sports books. They did cover against UNC in their last game, but that snapped a four game losing skid ATS. Here in the Orange Bowl, however, the undefeated Tigers are lined as underdogs.... 

The Rose Bowl features the Iowa Hawkeyes from the Big 10 conference and the Stanford Cardinal from the PAC-12. The Hawkeyes are making their first trip to the Rose Bowl in nearly 25 years.If you're looking for a Big 10/Pac-12 showdown, Pasadena, California is where you want to be on New Year's day. We have a Pac-12 champion with an exciting offense facing off against a Big Ten team with a smash-mouth defense. This could be the best game of the bowl season.... 

Northwestern isn’t pretty. There’s no passing game, nothing flashy, and few big plays from the offense. Yet the Wildcats can do something no team in NU football history has done – win 11 games in one season. It will be a monumental task against a talented Tennessee squad that has close losses to Oklahoma and Alabama, two teams competing for the national championship.... 

Ohio State might be one of the four best teams in college football, but because it turtled against Michigan State in the biggest game of the year – and because it didn’t make much of a case over the first 10 games after several sluggish wins – it’s off to the Fiesta Bowl, instead of the Cotton or Orange.... 

Michigan came within a botched punt of being a big deal in the Big Ten. But the Wolverines are on their way under first-year coach Jim Harbaugh. Another first-year coach has the Gators playing at a high level, at least defensively. Unfortunately Jim McElwain and Florida is hurting at quarterback and that’s likely their downfall.... 

It wasn’t the New Year’s Six bowl game Florida State was looking to play in after competing for a national championship the last two seasons. The Seminoles better not overlook the Houston Cougars, who are playing in a marquee bowl game against a Power Five opponent with a chance to make a bold statement.... 

The SEC has lost the last four Sugar Bowls it’s been in and Ole Miss is poised to change that. This game matters to the Rebels, who have way too much talent on both sides of the football to produce another 2015 Peach Bowl performance. Oklahoma State had everything set up perfectly, until the Cowboys stubbed their toe in their last two games.... 

Pasadena has become a second home for coach David Shaw’s Bay Area powerhouse. The Cardinal will be playing in the Granddaddy of the Them All for the third time in four years as champs of the Pac-12. Iowa’s undefeated season ended at the hands of Michigan State in the Big Ten title game, falling four points shy of earning a CFP berth.... 

The oddsmakers made a huge mistake last year. They favored the Alabama Crimson Tide by double digits against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Ultimately, the SEC champs went on to get beaten in the Sugar Bowl, thus ending a disappointing campaign in which they were the odds on favorites to win it all. They're the odds on choices yet again this year, and the script looks largely the same. This time though, instead of facing Bucks, they've got to contend with the Michigan State Spartans.... 

The Michigan State Spartans are massive underdogs in the Cotton Bowl, the second of the two national semifinal games this year. That said, Sparty has been defying the odds all season long, pulling off the improbable upset of Ohio State just weeks after the miracle touchdown on the fumbled punt on the final play of the game at Michigan. We've seen upset after upset before this time of year, and the Alabama Crimson Tide should surely be on notice.... 

Last year, the No. 4 team in the College Football Playoff, the Ohio State Buckeyes, pulled off two big upsets to win the National Championship. The Oklahoma Sooners are going to try to do the same this year, but they've got a much easier road to sow. In fact, even though they're going to be wearing the road jerseys at Sun Life Stadium for the Orange Bowl, they're actually favored by a relatively comfortable margin and are the clear second favorites to win it all according to the oddsmakers.... 

They're the only undefeated team in America, and they've been ranked No. 1 in the land by every edition of the College Football Playoff rankings. However, the Clemson Tigers are still continually being disrespected by the oddsmakers and fans alike, as they're underdogs in the eyes of the public and in the eyes of the sportsbooks against the Oklahoma Sooners in the Orange Bowl.... 

With Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray out for the Aggies, it leaves the inexperienced Jake Hubenak the one taking the snaps under center. Hubenak will have plenty of targets, but the pressure will be on the defense to keep Lamar Jackson and Kyle Bolin at bay.... 

The 5-7 teams have represented themselves well in the bowl games this year, but even the most diehard college football fans will realize that there are at least one or two too many bowls to go around right now. You know it's bad when the Colorado State Rams and Nevada Wolf Pack, two teams from the Mountain West, have to play against each other in the Arizona Bowl, a game which no one really wanted to go to and no major network wanted to put on television.... 

Last year's loss in the Orange Bowl to Georgia Tech left a really bitter taste in the mouths of the Mississippi State Bulldogs.There aren't all that many starters left from that team, but Dak Prescott is amongst them, and he'd love nothing more than to finish his collegiate career with a victory in the Belk Bowl over the North Carolina State Wolfpack.... 

In a battle of the Tigers, surprisingly Memphis is the one with a three game SU edge going against a 6-6 Auburn team.Memphis's 63-0 shellacking of Southern Methodist to close out the regular season should add to their confidence heading into this game.... 

At the outset of the season, both the USC Trojans and Wisconsin Badgers had hopes of playing against a team from the Big Ten or Pac-12 respectively in a bowl game in Southern California. Of course, the Holiday Bowl isn't the Rose Bowl, but this isn't a bad consolation prize for two teams which had some really good moments down the stretch of the year.... 

Air Force will bring its dominant running game to Amon G. Carter Stadium looking to beat California for the first time since 2002.While they're a solid 8-5 on the season, the Falcons are only 2-5 on the road.... 

On the last day of the regular season, both the North Carolina Tar Heels and Baylor Bears could've played their way into the New Year's Six.Instead, both were beaten and were relegated to the Russell Athletic Bowl, where they'll be facing off in what could be one of the higher scoring games of the bowl season.... 

Between the Texas Tech passing game and the LSU rushing attack behind Leonard Fournette, each team can put points on the board.The Tigers, however, will have to overcome a stark down turn in production while the Red Raiders' defense will need to shutdown Fournette to have any chance in this one.... 

The Michigan Wolverines battle the Florida Gators in the 2016 Citrus Bowl and bragging rights among power conferences. Those of you who live on the West Coast need to wake up early - the game kick off at Noon, ET and ESPN will televise the game live.... 

The 2016 Outback Bowl features two teams with contrasting styles when the Northwestern Wildcats of the Big 10 take on the Tennessee Volunteers of the SEC. NU plays Big Ten ball, running the ball and hitting short passes to move the chains and chew up the clock and relying on their stout defense to make plays. Tennessee loves the big play, high octane type offense and would love to get into a shootout and out score you, rather then shut you down.... 

The Wisconsin Badgers face the USC Trojans in a Big 10/Pac 12 showdown in the Holiday Bowl that will give the winner bragging rights and really nothing more. Both teams had up and down years. The Badgers hired a new coach as Paul Chryst took over and even though he won 9 games in his first season, they didn’t beat anyone with a winning record. The Badgers lost to Iowa, Alabama and Northwestern and if they don’t beat USC, it will be a disappointing year in Badger-land.... 

Navy has already won 10 games this season and will shoot for its first 11-win season in the history of the program.They'll host Pittsburgh which has put together a strong season of their own centered around the defense in Pat Narduzzi's first season at the helm.... 

One of three five-win teams to receive a bowl berth, the Cornhuskers will look to justify the NCAA’s decision to hand it a bowl while taking on a UCLA squad that handed it a 41-21 loss the last time they faced over two years ago....
