Four teams are going to make it to the College Football Playoff, but it will be a huge upset if a certain one doesn’t emerge with the national title. The Michigan Wolverines still need to knock off the Ohio State Buckeyes to make the College Football Playoff. The oddsmakers clearly believe they will do so and be among the top contenders. The Wolverines have an elite defense which should play well in the tournament. However, the fact that a loss to the Buckeyes is possible, it’s hard to wager on Michigan.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish is in good shape to make the College Football Playoff as it only needs a win over USC to basically clinch a spot. However, the question is about the team’s top-shelf talent, as it doesn’t seem to have the same elite talent as a team like Alabama. Notre Dame is a bit of a wild card because it doesn’t play in a conference, but it’s hard to imagine the FIghting Irish winning the national championship, even at the underdog odds.
The Georgia Bulldogs hope to make it to the College Football Playoff and could punch their ticket by knocking off Alabama to end the season. That’s a tough task and the more likely scenario is Georgia failing to even make the national semifinals, which makes them a poor bet.
The Oklahoma Sooners are the best of the longshot bets. They are likely to win the Big 12 and while Oklahoma needs help to make the College Football Playoff, its offense could make this a nice longshot choice if it can get in. The Sooners have a dynamic quarterback in Kyler Murray who would love to help the team make an upset run to the title.
While Oklahoma may be a good longshot bet, the play here is still Alabama. The Crimson Tide has dominated everyone on their schedule and has no weakness. Even at these odds they just won’t be beat. Take Alabama with confidence in NCAA football gambling.
