The No. 17 ranked Wildcats will host the Arizona State Sun Devils, their intrastate rival but one which is in rebuilding mode....

It’s almost unfathomable that the Wake Forest Demon Deacons have lost 25 straight ACC road games. The last time Wake Forest emerged victorious on the road in conference play was all the way back on January 22, 2014 when it knocked off Virginia Tech. The Demon Deacons’ inability to win on the road has underscored this program’s inability to get back to the postseason or even crack the .500 mark. Fortunately, Wake Forest will be at home for this game when it welcomes the North Carolina Tar Heels to Winston-Salem....
A trip down Tobacco Road wouldn’t be complete with a matchup between these schools. One of the fiercest rivalries in not only the Atlantic Coast Conference but the entire country resumes when the North Carolina State Wolfpack visit the Dean Dome for an encounter with the North Carolina Tar Heels. You can throw out the records when these two hook up and the short distance of 25 miles that separates the two campuses only adds to the intensity....
The No. 13 Wisconsin Badgers has gone 2-2 against ranked opponents this season and will face their fifth big test this Sunday, taking on the No. 20 Purdue Boilermakers on the road. The Badgers enter this game with a record of 13-2, riding a nine-game winning streak they will look to extend on Sunday....
The UCLA Bruins shook off their first loss of the season and have won two straight games by double-digits. They will look to keep it rolling in a home game against the Stanford Cardinal....
Maryland had its six-game winning streak snapped last time out and it will be interesting to see the spread against Michigan. The Terrapins have the superior record but the Wolverines get this one at home, so it could be a competitive showdown. Maryland seems to be on its way to the NCAA men’s basketball tournament but needs to keep winning now that the schedule has gotten considerably tougher....
Florida had some issues in the middle of its non-conference slate but enters this one winners of four straight. The Volunteers have played a bunch of ranked teams tough this year but have yet to come away with the upset. Tennessee would love to get one here but will be the underdog on the road....
While Texas has the more prestigious program historically, Iowa State has been the better team this year. The Cyclones almost knocked off No. 2 Baylor last time out but must refocus quickly in order to not let this one go to waste....
Kansas survived a home scare last time out against Kansas State but should be a heavy favorite to win this one. The Jayhawks are one of the best teams in the country and they will have the benefit of the home court advantage, which should result in a victory....
The Marquette Golden Eagles have pulled off some memorable upsets in their history and beating the top-ranked Villanova Wildcats might be the biggest of them all. It’s not going to be an easy chore, but the Golden Eagles will be a well rested group heading into their Big East showdown on Saturday. Marquette will have a whole week off while the Wildcats have a battle with No. 18 Butler on Wednesday before entertaining the Golden Eagles on Saturday night....
The Oakland Golden Grizzlies believe they have the team that can unseat the Valparaiso Crusaders as the class of the Horizon League. Valpo has won the regular season conference championship in each of the past two years and has beaten Oakland three consecutive times. But the Grizzlies are poised for a run this year with perhaps the strongest team assembled in some time. They own the league’s best record, but need to knock off the defending champs to prove they have arrived....
An early season battle for supremacy in the Atlantic-10 pits two of the conference’s top teams when the Rhode Island Rams travel to face the Dayton Flyers on Friday night. The Rams’ non-conference record wasn’t as glossy as it could’ve been and the team fell out of the top 25 early, but playing one of the toughest schedules in the country can do that to you. Still, the Rams entered league play as a favorite to win the title after claiming eight victories ahead of conference action....
The Michigan State Spartans struggled through a rough non-conference slate as they lost several times against a tough schedule. The Big Ten season has started much better and they will look to remain undefeated in the conference in a road game against the Penn State Nittany Lions....
The Butler Bulldogs have been hot and cold this season, knocking off top teams while falling to some teams they should beat. They hope that trend doesn’t continue when they travel to face off with the Georgetown Hoyas in a Big East matchup....

The Villanova Wildcats have picked up right where they left off last season. Nova cruised through the NCAA Tournament to secure its second national championship with a victory of North Carolina. Entering this season as the No. 1 team in the country, the Wildcats haven’t disappointed by winning all 14 of their contests. The Big East figures to be a strong conference again and Wildcats will put their undefeated record on the line with a visit to No. 18 Butler on Wednesday night....
The Oregon Ducks lost two of their first four games but have since turned into one of the hottest teams in the nation. They will aim to stay undefeated in Pac-12 play by knocking off the Washington Huskies....
The Nevada Wolfpack put together a nice enough non-conference record to put itself into consideration for the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. However, they must keep it up during conference play but lost last time out in a heartbreaker to Fresno State....
The UCLA Bruins are among the top-ranked teams in the country, but thanks to an early loss to the Oregon Ducks, are only in the middle of the pack in the Pac-12. They will aim to start a march up the standings with a win over the California Bears next time out....
The Arizona Wildcats started off the Pac-12 strong and will aim to keep it up when they host the Utah Utes. Arizona has some stiff competition near the top of the conference with Oregon and UCLA also playing well, so it can’t afford slip-ups in winnable games like this....
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets pulled off a huge upset by beating North Carolina last time out. Can they do it again? Georgia Tech will hit the road to face off with another perennial power, the Duke Blue Devils, but will once again be the underdog....
We’ll get a much better picture of just how good the Clemson Tigers are when they face the North Carolina Tar Heels on Tuesday. Clemson won its ninth straight game with a comeback victory over Wake Forest on Saturday and for the time being sits atop the ACC standings. Sure it’s only one conference game, but the Tigers are looking a lot like the school’s football team in terms of grittiness and the ability to win games. The school’s faith in coach Brad Brownell might turn into a blessing....
