There have been a lot of speed bumps for the Ohio State Buckeyes this season, and they’ll need to turn it on down the stretch to have a shot at making the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. They face a crucial game against the Iowa Hawkeyes this week.... 

The North Carolina Tar Heels have won six straight games and sit in a three-way tie atop the ACC as the regular season hits its stretch run. Every game is crucial the rest of the way as they aim to knock off the Virginia Tech Hokies next time out.... 

The Oregon Ducks are one of the hottest teams in college basketball, and their long winning streak has catapulted the team into the top-10 nationally. Oregon is in the mix for the Pac-12 title and will aim to stay unblemished in conference when they face off with the Utah Utes.... 

It’s been a roller coaster of a season for the Indiana Hoosiers, but all’s well on the thrill ride presently. They will aim to keep it going in a tough Big Ten matchup against the Michigan Wolverines.... 

The banter about the SEC getting four or five teams in the NCAA Tournament this year has died down after recent performances, but there is no doubt that the Kentucky Wildcats are still the cream of the crop. Only two conference foes have come within 10 points of Kentucky on the season and that has led to a 7-0 SU, 4-3 ATS start in SEC play. John Calipari’s squad will travel south to take on the Tennessee Volunteers and continue this run.... 

Since knocking off the then No. 1 Baylor Bears, the No. 7 West Virginia Mountaineers have had major problems. First, West Virginia lost a stunner at home to an Oklahoma squad that gave its’ all against the Mountaineers and then was on the wrong side of another upset when it lost to Kansas State on Saturday night. Those two losses are going to send West Virginia free-falling down the Top 25 rankings, but a home win against the No. 2 Kansas Jayhawks would heal a lot of those wounds.... 

The Michigan State Spartans are in unfamiliar territory, sitting on the NCAA men’s basketball tournament bubble as the regular season hits its stretch run. They need to string some wins together the rest of the way and have a nice opportunity to pick up a quality win against the Purdue Boilermakers this week.... 

The Ole Miss Rebels have strung together two consecutive victories in conference and will aim to make it three in a row against the Texas A&M Aggies next time out. Ole Miss is in the middle of the SEC pack and will look to keep moving up the standings.... 

The UCLA Bruins have fallen behind in the race for the Pac-12 crown with a loss last time out to Arizona, and may need to be flawless down the stretch to make up the ground. Their next game is another tough one as they go across town to face off against the USC Trojans.... 

Georgetown also comes into this matchup off a loss. The Hoyas are heading into a tough stretch, as they are gearing up for matchups against No. 7 Creighton and No. 13 Butler after this game against Xavier.This war on the floor will go down Sunday, January 22, 2017, at 2 p.m. ET at the Cintas Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Duke is below .500 in the conference but gets this game at home against an inferior opponent, so coming away with the victory shouldn’t be too tough. Both teams are under .500 and unlikely to make a postseason tournament. However, both are aiming to finish strong and each side feels like it can win this game. With a collection of talent that rivals any in college basketball, the UCLA Bruins are considered a favorite by many to be a Final Four team. That’s good news for the Bruins, but right now they aren’t even leading the Pac-12. The conference is top-heavy with three top-15 teams lurking at the top of the standings and UCLA could use a victory over the Arizona Wildcats to keep from falling further behind. There will be an astounding number of gifted players on the court when these two collide on Saturday.This war on the floor will go down Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 4 p.m. ET at Pauley Pavilion. The Crieghton Bluejays have just one defeat on their record this season and that came against the No. 1 team in the country. But the Bluejays suffered perhaps the biggest loss of the year when star point guard Mo Watson Jr. was felled with a torn ACL in Monday’s game. It will be impossible to replace what Watson brings to the court and the Bluejays will struggle without him. Despite their record, the Texas Longhorns have been far from a pushover in Big 12 play. They get another crack at a ranked team this week and hope this is finally the time they don’t just remain competitive but come away with a shocking upset.... 

The Florida State Seminoles will wrap up a brutal stretch of six straight games against ranked opponents this week. Few could have predicted how well they have fared thus far, and Florida State will look to cap it with a win over the Louisville Cardinals.... 

The Iowa State Cyclones have played well enough this year to merit NCAA men’s basketball tournament consideration, but needs to string some wins together to get a berth. They hit the road this week for a winnable game against the Oklahoma Sooners.... 

The West Virginia Mountaineers were rolling along until last time out, when they were shocked at home by the lowly Oklahoma Sooners. It was a big blow to their chances of winning the Big 12 regular season title, and they must be nearly perfect the rest of the way to catch Kansas.... 

There are some teams on their heels, but if the Villanova Wildcats keep playing like they have all year long, they should eventually pull away for the Big East title. They will look to keep the other contenders at bay next time out with a win over the Providence Friars.... 

The Kentucky Wildcats are the class of the SEC, but the South Carolina Gamecocks have been a plucky upstart. The two ranked teams will face off in a key conference matchup as both teams are undefeated thus far in the SEC.... 

The Duke Blue Devils have gotten off to a slow start in ACC play, and if they have designs of competing for the conference’s best record, they will really need to turn it on down the stretch. Their next attempt will be against the Miami Hurricanes.... 

The Florida Gators had a few missteps in the non-conference season but have turned it on in SEC action. The Gators have yet to lose in the conference and hope to keep that streak intact when they host the Vanderbilt Commodores....

The UCLA Bruins survived a scare last time out, but don’t figure to be challenged in back-to-back contests. UCLA will host the Arizona State Sun Devils this week in a Pac-12 affair.... 

The Maryland Terrapins have surged to the top of the Big Ten standings and into the top-25 of the national rankings. They will aim to keep their recent success rolling in a road matchup with the Iowa Hawkeyes....
