Odds Analysis

Arkansas has checked in as the -165 favorite to pick up the victory and remain in the winner’s bracket as everyone else on their side takes a loss. The Red Raiders are the slight +125 underdogs on the moneyline.

Texas Tech is favored to cover the +1.5 run spread at -140, while Arkansas is listed at +100 to capture this contest by two or more runs. The scoring total for this contest is listed at 12.5 runs as the oddsmakers are projecting an absolutely wild affair between a pair of high-scoring offenses.

Last Time Out

It’s not a surprise to see a high total after such a dominant performance in the opener by Arkansas. The Razorbacks put up an eight-spot in the sixth inning to run away from Texas in an eventual 11-5 victory. Heston Kjerstad had a big game, going 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Luke Bonfield had only one hit but it was a huge one, hitting a two-run bomb.

Blaine Knight had a nice outing on the mound, giving up a pair of runs in five innings pitched while striking out four.

Texas Tech knocked off Florida by a score of 6-3. Ryan Shetter didn’t start but ended up playing the biggest role on the mound, giving up only one run in 4.1 innings of relief.

The Red Raiders scored five runs between the fourth and sixth innings as they turned a 1-0 deficit into a 5-1 lead. Grant Little was fantastic, finishing 3-for-3 with with a double and an RBI. Leadoff hitter Gabe Holt usually sets the table but he went 2-for-5 with three RBIs to help Texas Tech pick up the win as the underdog.

Free College World Series ATS Picks

Texas Tech is a top-10 team and should be feeling good about its chances to hang around in this one. The matchup looks like it will be a good one, and don’t be surprised if it becomes a back-and-forth affair. In the end, Arkansas will lean on its bats once again to lead the way.

The Razorbacks are in a great groove right now and look for it to continue with another victory as they take control of the bracket by remaining undefeated in College World Series play. While Arkansas is the pick on the moneyline, the 1.5-run spread is interesting because Texas Tech could keep this one close enough to cover.

The scoring total is high but take the “over” as there is going to be fireworks in this one as both pitching staffs could struggle. This could be one of the most entertaining games of the NCAA baseball tournament, with Arkansas eking out a critical victory in College World Series betting.

MLB ATS Pick: Arkansas Razorbacks 7, Texas Tech Red Raiders 6
