Matchday 31 Premier League Odds Report

Only half of the Premier League’s teams are in action this week because of FA Cup ties, but there is still plenty of excitement to be had. Liverpool are looking to pass Manchester City for the time being when they head to Craven Cottage, and Chelsea are out to draw level with Arsenal in their bid to get back into the Champions League. After placing four teams in the final eight of the Champions League, there is little doubt that the Premier League is the best in the world, so now is the time to tune in.

West Ham United -178
Huddersfield Town +534
Draw +296
Over/Under 2.5

The Terriers’ relegation is virtually a certainty. Huddersfield Town are now 16 points away from safety with eight games left, and they need to win out to stay up at this point. That won’t happen, so every opponent is looking to grab all three points when they meet.

It’s a little surprising that West Ham aren’t a bigger favorite at home here. They have one of the better home field advantages in the league, and they have won three of their last four home games with the lone non-win being a draw to Liverpool. The Hammers are a little shorthanded due to injury, but Huddersfield have been inept on offense all season.

Burnley FC +202
Leicester City +142
Draw +227
Over/Under 2.5

The Clarets are once again in a spot of trouble following Cardiff City’s surprising upset win over West Ham last week. Burnley have now lost three in a row after going on a tear that included a win over Tottenham, and they are just two points ahead of the Bluebirds although they do have a major advantage in terms of goal differential.

Leicester City have been imminently beatable too. The Foxes have switched managers and placed former Celtic and Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers in charge for the rest of the season, but there are still problems with the improbable champions from a few seasons ago.

AFC Bournemouth +106
Newcastle United +267
Draw +243
Over/Under 2.5

Bournemouth have been one of the most exciting clubs in the Premier League this season. They have been unafraid to bomb up and down the field and take chances, and that’s why the Cherries have 11 wins despite allowing 54 goals. Bournemouth have been consistently blown out by the top teams in the Premier League, but their style makes them look much better against lesser clubs.

As for Newcastle, the Magpies are on cloud nine after a thrilling comeback win over Everton in St. James’ Park. They were down 2-0 for most of the match, but then a Salomon Rondon goal in the 65th minute gave them life before an Ayoze Perez brace with 10 minutes left sent them soaring. Suddenly, the goal-starved club is scoring in abundance, and the over might be a good play here.

Everton FC +291
Chelsea FC -108
Draw +251
Over/Under 2.5

This is a huge game for Chelsea. The Blues are still somewhat in control of their own destiny, but anything other than a win here would make it very unlikely for Maurizio Sarri to return next season. The club is a bit of a mess behind the scenes considering their transfer ban and Eden Hazard’s heavily rumored exit, and Everton can make them miserable just like they did against Liverpool a couple weeks ago.

Fulham FC +947
Liverpool FC -397
Draw +500
Over/Under 3 and 3.5

There’s a good chance this is the highest scoring match of the week. Liverpool’s offense have finally found their form, and Fulham have had the worst back line in the league all season. The Cottagers need a win to have any chance of surviving the drop, so they must go all out.
