Everton at Liverpool - Premier League Soccer Props

The Merseyside Derby will conclude this week of action in the Premier League and be the final derby on a tripleheader of derbies on Sunday. This derby was once known as the friendly derby, but passions have been inflamed over the last three decades, and since the inception of the Premier League this derby has seen more red cards than any other. Liverpool have had the better of Everton recently in this rivalry, and they will look to continue that trend here. However, the Toffees are looking stronger than they have in some time and will put up quite the fight.

Don't miss the English Premier League action from Anfield in Liverpool at 11:15 a.m. ET on Sunday, December 2, 2018. Catch every moment of the match live on NBCSN.

Odds Analysis

Everton are currently sixth in the table, and the Toffees have done well over the last two months. They have played seven Premier League games over that stretch, and they have a record of 5-1-1 in that time. The lone loss came on the road against Manchester United, but they were able to get a point on the road against Chelsea and took care of business against the other five teams on their schedule. Last week, Everton outlasted Cardiff City to get a 1-0 win thanks to a goal from Gylfi Sigurdsson.

You’d forgive Liverpool if their minds were somewhere else ahead of this match. The Reds are in danger of failing to qualify for the knockout rounds of the Champions League after making the final last year, following a loss to Paris Saint-Germain. In the Premier League, Liverpool are largely seen as the only team with a real chance of beating out Manchester City. They have yet to lose this season and the Reds are just two points behind the Citizens at this point. Last weekend, they needed some time to break through Watford’s defense, but once they did it was all Liverpool in a 3-0 win.

Key Injuries

The Toffees have no one that will definitely be out for this match, which is good news considering the strength of their opponent. James McCarthy is listed as questionable as he returns from an injury, while Jonjoe Kenny is doubtful to play.

Jordan Henderson will miss this match due to being sent off last week against Watford, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is a long-term injury for Liverpool. Adam Lallana continues to be out, while Divock Origi and Dominic Solanke are listed as doubtful.

Player to Watch

The best signing during the summer transfer window might have been Richarlison. The young Brazilian has been fantastic since coming to Everton, and he has made a name for himself as a dynamic goal scorer that can make something happen out of nothing. He leads Everton with six goals on the season, and he is still gelling with his new team. Richarlison has showed his class with Brazil in international breaks too, and he fired one in two weeks ago in a friendly against Cameroon.

Prop Bet of the Game – Everton +1.5 -129

I believe this will be a very close match as Liverpool are a bit short-handed for this tilt and are coming off a tough loss to PSG. The Toffees have proven they are a good team, and I wouldn’t be shocked to see them get a result. I think there is a good chance they end up losing by a goal, so I’ll take the goal and a half here.

Some Richarlison magic will be needed for Everton to get a win here, but I think the most likely scenario is a 2-1 Liverpool win. Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane will eventually be too much for this defense, just like they have been against most teams this year.
