EPL Betting Odds

Tottenham Hotspur have loved the sudden downturn of Big Six teams. Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United were all right behind Spurs in the standings, but those teams have a combined one point in their last two games. That has allowed Spurs to regain third place in the table, and they are very likely to finish in the top four. They are three points up with three matches to play, and a win over West Ham United this weekend would likely secure a spot.

Odds Analysis

West Ham are going to finish near the top of the bottom half of the table, but they could have secured a top half finish if the injury bug didn’t bite them so violently. The Hammers are 1-1-4 over their last six matches, and that has led to them slipping down the table. While they can’t be faulted for road losses to Chelsea and Manchester United, losses to Everton and especially Cardiff City look a bit worse. West Ham nearly earned a win over Leicester City last weekend, but an injury time goal led to the Hammers settling for a draw.

The air is a little bit sweeter for Tottenham fans than any other Premier League club at the moment. Spurs are finally playing in their new stadium after interminable delays, and they are in the Champions League semifinals too. Son Heung-min notched a brace inside of 10 minutes and Fernando Llorente scored late to put Tottenham through over Manchester City due to away goals. They are finally putting their Premier League woes behind them too with wins in three of their last four league games.

This is the third meeting between these two teams this season. Tottenham won the previous league meeting with an Erik Lamela goal just before halftime, and they knocked off the Hammers in the Carabao Cup Round of 16 with a brace from Son and a goal from Llorente, mirroring their scorers against City last week.

Key Injuries

Andy Carroll, Andriy Yarmolenko, and Winston Reid have all been gone for some time and won’t return again this season for West Ham. Manuel Lanzini will miss this match too, and Carlos Sanchez won’t play as well. Samir Nasri is doubtful, while Aaron Cresswell is questionable and Chicharito is probable.

Harry Kane is in a race to come back as soon as possible, but he certainly won’t be playing on Saturday. Serge Aurier and Moussa Sissoko are going to be unavailable for Spurs as well. Erik Lamela and Harry Winks are considered doubtful in this match.

Player to Watch

Son has long been seen as a player that plays off of Kane up top, but he has shined while Kane has been injured this season. He has taken over as Spurs’ primary option, and he is having a fantastic year despite being called into international duty twice in the last 10 months. Look for him to continue to make an impact.

Prop Bet – Under 2.5 and 3 +127

Spurs can’t just focus on their match against West Ham. They have a winnable Champions League semifinal draw with giant killers Ajax, and I think they will play a more defensive game here and look to win 1-0 or 2-0.

Free Soccer Betting Pick

Defense will take center stage here. West Ham just don’t have many of their best scoring options available anymore, while Spurs will look to play a more controlled game.

English Premier League Odds: Tottenham Hotspur 1, West Ham United 0
