UFC Picks

This is about as ugly as it gets for a UFC matchup in terms of records, but the fight may actually be a good one. Alvey hasn’t won a fight in over three years, while Turman hasn’t won in almost two years. The pressure is really on Alvey to get this win and he would seem to have a good matchup in this fight against Turman. It was pretty easy going for Turman on the regional circuit, as he went 15-2 but he has found the going much tougher in the UFC. He has lost three of his four UFC fights.

This is a contrast of styles, as Alvey wants to keep this fight standing and find a way to get the knockout, while Turman would prefer to get the fight to the mat. Alvey has been pretty good in his career defending takedowns at 78% and if he keeps this fight upright, he should have a good chance to win. I know that Alvey has really struggled of late, but I am still a little surprised at the price, as Turman is listed as the favorite. I think Alvey has a slight edge, so I will take him at the plus price to win this fight.
