UFC Fight Night: Dos Anjos vs. Fiziev Betting
Rafael Dos Anjos (31-13, 20-11 UFC)
Dos Anjos came into the UFC with a record of 11-2 and he has 20 wins and 11 losses in the UFC. In his last six fights, he has three wins and three losses. He defeated Kevin Lee by arm-triangle choke submission, Paul Felder by split decision, and Renato Moicano by unanimous decision; while losing to Kamaru Usman by unanimous decision, Leon Edwards by unanimous decision, and Michael Chiesa by unanimous decision. Dos Anjos has been a pro since 2004 and he has five wins by TKO/KO and 10 by submission. He has nine first round finishes.
Dos Anjos said this to bloodyelbow.com about his upcoming fight against Fiziev, “You can expect a fight with a lot of action,” dos Anjos said. “I want to test his skills in a five-round fight, since it’s the first time he has a fight like that. My plan is to pressure right from the start. I know he’s quick and I won’t be as fast as him, but I believe the pressure I’m able to put on will make a difference. I’ll try to land some hard shots, get some takedowns and give him no room to move.”
Rafael Fiziev (11-1, 5-1 UFC)
Fiziev came into the UFC with a record of 6-0 and he has five wins and one loss in the UFC. He defeated Alex White by unanimous decision, Marc Diakiese by unanimous decision, Renato Moicano by KO, Bobby Green by unanimous decision, and Brad Riddell by KO; while losing to Magomed Mustafaev by TKO. Fiziev has been a pro since 2015 and he has seven wins by TKO/KO and one by submission. He has six first round finishes.

Fiziev is listed as about a 2-1 favorite to win this fight with the rounds listed at 4.5. This is one of those fights where the veteran, dos Anjos, goes against the prospect, in Fiziev. These two were supposed to meet in February but the fight got pushed back to July. Dos Anjos didn’t wait for Fiziev in February, as he stepped in to fight Renato Moicano at UFC 272 and won a unanimous decision. Fiziev lost his UFC debut but has since won five straight. There is no question that dos Anjos has more experience and has fought better competition, but he is on the downside of his career, while Fiziev is on the way up.
There is definitely some value on dos Anjos simply because he has proven more in his career than has Fiziev. I still don’t know that I want to trust dos Anjos against a fighter in Fiziev who could be really good, but the price is tempting. The rounds option of 4.5 is also interesting. If dos Anjos does what he said he is going to do and pressure Fiziev then I think we could get a finish one way or the other. Fiziev has shown very good finishing skills and I don’t think he will shy away from pressure. I’ll go under the rounds of 4.5 at plus money.
