UFC Picks

Dawodu is nearly a 2-1 favorite in this fight. The question is whether or not he is deserving of that type of respect. Trizano has lost just once in his career but some of his wins have not been that impressive. His UFC debut was a split decision win and his win in the Ultimate Fighter was also a split decision. Dawodu has more experience and he looked good with five straight wins before losing to Evloey in his last bout. It should be noted, however, that Dawodu had three split decision wins in his five UFC victories. Perhaps Dawodu gets this win but I am sure not laying almost 2-1 on him. I am also concerned that the step up to the UFC has simply negated some of Dawodu’s strengths, as he is now going against fighters who are just as good, or better than he is. In his five UFC wins he has had to go to a decision four times and three of those decision wins were split. If I were to play a side I would probably lean to Trizano simply because of the price, but I’ll pass on taking a fighter in this one.

I think the better choice in this bout is the rounds total. I have not been impressed with the finishing ability of Trizano, as only none of his UFC wins have been finishes, as in his nine career wins, he has just four finishes. Dawodu has more finishing ability but it should be noted that since he has come into the UFC, he has just one finish. The oddsmakers are well aware that neither of these two is known for their finishes, as the round were set at 2.5 with the over at a price of more than 2-1. I don’t like laying prices, but I think the best choice in this one is to take the rounds to go over the total.
