UFC Fight Night: The Korean Zombie vs. Ige Betting
Chan Sung Jung (16-6, 6-3 UFC)
Jung came into the UFC with a record of 10-3 and he is 6-3 in the UFC. He is 3-2 in his last five fights. He is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Brian Ortega in October of last year. Jung won by TKO against Frankie Edgar in December of 2019, won by TKO against Renato Moicano in June of 2019, lost by knockout to Yair Rodriguez in November of 2018 and won by knockout against Dennis Bermudez in February of 2017. Jung has been a pro since 2007 and he has six wins by TKO/KO and eight by submission. He has 10 first round finishes.
Dan Ige (15-3, 7-2 UFC)
Ige came into the UFC with a record of 8-1 and he has seven wins and two losses in the UFC. He is 4-1 in his last five fights. He is coming off a knockout win against Gavin Tucker in March. Ige los a unanimous decision to Calvin Kattar in July of last year, won a split decision against Edson Barboza in May of last year, won a split decision against Mirsad Bektic in February of last year and won a unanimous decision against Kevin Aguilar in June of 2019. Ige said that a win against Jung will get him to the next level. “It’s the fight that’s going to propel me to the next level,” Ige said to the media, “It’s the fight that’s going to put me into the top five. It’s going to put me into that title contention range, and ‘The Korean Zombie’ is a legend. So I want to face household names like ‘Zombie,’ (Edson) Barboza. I want to have these guys on my resume, and ‘The Korean Zombie’ is a guy I watched forever.”

I think Jung is a bit overrated, as I think his reputation is better than his skill. That is not to say Jung is not a good fighter, but he is not a headliner. I don’t know that Ige is a headliner either, but he has definitely looked good lately, winning four of his last five. We know that almost all of Jung’s fights end in a finish and Ige has already said he expects a fight full of fireworks. I will simply take this fight to go under the rounds total of 4.5.
