Murphy said this to news.yahoo.com about her upcoming fight against Shevchenko, “I believe in myself, I know that I have a lot of strengths as well. And I think if I just keep doing what I've been doing; it's worked out for the last five fights. So I'm not going to change it now. But it's like if I just keep following the game plan that my coaches give me, if I go out there and fight her the way that I've been sparring, and I capitalize on whatever mistakes she makes, I think I'm going to be OK. I think we can come out with a win here. I really believe in my ability to beat her. And so I know that I can beat Valentina. I know that I can. I hope that I do, and I know that I can.

UFC Picks

Shevchenko is a huge favorite in this fight at more than 10-1 and I am definitely not laying that type of price on anyone. Murphy has plenty of experience in the UFC but she is probably out of her class in this one. Since I can’t lay the big price and I don’t want to take Murphy, that means looking at the rounds. The rounds are set at 2.5 and I think Murphy can do enough to at least take this fight to a decision, so I will take the rounds to go over the total.
