Alexis Davis (19-9, 6-4 UFC)

Davis came into the UFC with a record of 13-5 and she has six wins and four losses in the UFC. She defeated Rosi Sexton by unanimous decision, Liz Carmouche by unanimous decision, Jessica Eye by split decision, Sarah Kaufman by armbar submission, Cindy Dandois by unanimous decision, and Liz Carmouche split decision; while losing to Ronda Rousey by KO, Sara McMann by arm-triangle choke submission, Katlyn Chookagian by unanimous decision, and Jennifer Maia by unanimous decision. Davis has been a pro since 2007 and she has two wins by TKO/KO and eight by submission. She has five first round finishes.

Davis said this to sherdog.com about her upcoming fight this Saturday, “I love any opportunity I have to fight in Canada. It is a whole different vibe and everything is super chill and relaxed. The fans of Canada just want good fights. I am not really focusing on that as much. Obviously, I need to get back into the win column. I just want to fight like my old self and show to the fans I still am a top fighter. Everyone focuses on your wins and losses, instead of just relaxing. It just adds pressure to the fight that is not needed. It is always important. My biggest problem has been getting to the ground. I have been notorious to try and stand and bang with people which is not my game plan. You know she is very good on the ground, so it should be an awesome fight. It is a fight I don't know what is going to happen. She could come out swinging and or try to take me down. I'm just focusing on my skills and she needs to be worried about what I'm going to do.”

Viviane Araujo (7-1, 1-0 UFC)

Araujo came into the UFC with a record of 6-1 and she has one win and no losses in the UFC. She defeated Talita Bernardo by KO on May 11, 2019. Araujo’s only loss in her career was against Sarah Frota by TKO on April 15, 2017. Araujo has been a pro since 2015 and she has three wins by TKO/KO and four by submission. She has four first round finishes.

UFC Predictions

Araujo is a -270 favorite and that really tells us a lot, as oddsmakers have no confidence in Davis. Arajuo looked really good in taking out Talita Bernardo at UFC 227 and based on what has been happening with Davis lately, it could be another quick win for Araujo. She has three knockouts and four submissions in her career. The only way for Davis to win this fight is on the mat and I just don’t see her controlling Arajuo. I will lay the price and take Arajuo in this fight.
