Michael Chiesa is hoping a move up to welterweight can jumpstart a plateauing career. After losing two straight at 155 pounds - to title contenders Kevin Lee and Anthony Pettis - the 31-year old meets one of the welterweight old guard in Carlos Condit this Saturday in Las Vegas.
Condit’s back is against the wall here. The Natural Born Killer comes into the matchup with four straight losses and only two wins his past nine fights. Once a legitimate title contender, Condit is now fighting to stay relevant.
