The Masters Golf Props

It’s time for sports bettors and golf enthusiasts to make up for lost opportunities. COVID played with the PGA Tour schedule forcing the postponement of two of golf’s premier events while cancelling another. This week the Tour fights back with the 84th playing of The Masters. And in a few short months we’ll be right back at Augusta National. Six major championships included in the new Tour season gives bettors a chance to make up for lost action due to the shutdown. And what’s a major without Tiger Woods? The Big Cat has struggled this season, but we saw something similar ahead of the 2019 Masters and look what happened. There will be plenty of action on Tiger this week. Heck, some sportsbooks have a group of props just for him.

The betting markets run deep this week with 92 of the world’s best golfers ready to attack the lengthy and iconic Augusta National Golf Club layout. There are, of course, the standard pick-the-winner and matchup bets. But the major championships unleash a host of additional wagering opportunities. If you’re looking for some side action, BookMaker is the right place. Let’s take a look at some of the prop bet options and find out where you can make additional coin while wagering on the 2020 Masters.

Lowest 18-hole Score

Under 65.5 -190

Over 65.5 +160

Under normal circumstances the under would be a lock. We saw Xander Schauffele score 65 in the second round of the 2019 Masters and three players carded a 64 the next day. In 2018 there were four 65s and along with a final round 64 from Jordan Spieth. However, these are not normal times. First of all, the tournament is being held during a different time of the year. For the first time the Masters will take place in November when the weather is much different from the springtime. Even with that there should be at least one player in the stellar cast going 7-under for one day.

Will an Albatross be Registered During the Masters?

Yes +1200

No -3300

Also known as the double-eagle, it’s the rarest score in all of golf. And since it can only be registered on a select number of holes, the odds of it happening are even more unlikely. But consider that we have a collection of the best golfers in the world and the par 5s at Augusta yield some of the lowest scores on Tour, I’m willing to go out on a limb and drop some coin on someone achieving this rarity. After all, it wouldn’t be The Masters without some drama.

Will there be a Hole-in-One

Yes -175

No +145

For the weekend golfers notching a hole-in-one is something they only dream about. The exhilaration of an ace has taken place at Augusta a whopping 31 times during the event’s history, and we’ve seen at least one ace in each of the last four editions of The Masters. Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas holed out on the same day in 2019 and three players aced the same 16th hole in 2016. If it’s going to happen it’ll likely take place on the 16th, which has yielded 22 holes-in-one. With more than half the aces coming since 2003 the odds favor it happening again.

Not all prop bets are related to the on-course exploits of the players. Much like the color of the winning beverage the Super Bowl winning coach gets doused with you can wager on some exotic props. Here are a few on the short list.

Will the flagstick be left in for winner’s final putt?

No -700

Yes +500

This is an interesting prop considering the COVID concerns. The Tour played with a rule to leave the stick in the hole to avoid constant touching, though it hasn’t taken full effect. It will come down to the length of the putt and who’s delivering, but I’d take a risk on yes since the payout is nice.

Headwear worn by winner

Cap or Hat -2000

Visor +1000

No Headwear +6600

Tiger surprised a lot of people with his win last year and he can match the record of six wins owned by Jack Nicklaus. His game has been off for some time, but don’t count him out. The most polarizing figure in the sport always gets a lot attention with his own prop section.

Will Tiger Woods birdie Hole No.1 in Round 1?

Yes +650

No -950

Will Tiger Woods Finish in the Top 5?

Yes +550

No -800

Will Tiger Woods Finish in the Top 10?

Yes +350

No -500

Will Tiger Woods Finish in the Top 20?

Yes +135

No -165

Will Tiger Woods lead after Round 1?

Yes +3000

No -15000

Will Tiger Woods Make an Eagle?

Yes +135

No -165
