RBC Heritage Golf Odds - Bet on PGA Tour

RBC Heritage Golf Odds

One thing we know for sure this week is that Scottie Scheffler won’t win. After capturing his first career major at the Masters for his fourth title in six starts, Scheffler is giving the rest of the PGA Tour a chance by sitting out the RBC Heritage. A stout field is on tap with several big names making the trip from Augusta to Hilton Head, S.C. this week. The top of the odds board is littered with some of the top players in the sport headlined by betting favorite Justin Thomas. Collin Morikawa, Cameron Smith, Dustin Johnson and Patrick Cantlay are the others opening with shorter than 20/1 odds. Each of the past nine winners of this tournament are scheduled to peg it up at Harbour Town Golf Links with Stewart Cink defending the title he won by four swings in 2021. Head over to BookMaker.eu for a complete list of betting odds when you’re ready to place a wager.

Odds Analysis

Matthew Fitzpatrick +2200

I like the chances of Fitzpatrick winning sooner rather than later. He’s been on a run of nice form recently and he has a history at Harbour Town making him a worthwhile risk in the outright and alternate markets as well. He closed with a 70 to finish T14 at Augusta, his fourth straight top-20 and sixth in his last seven starts with a trio doubling as top-10s. Since 2018 he’s 4 for 4 in this event with a T4 and two T14s.

Kevin Kisner +4000

Kisner has enjoyed success at correlated courses so a win at Harbour Town wouldn’t be a surprise. And he’s playing well heading to a joint that’s yielded him good results over the years. Kisner has three top-5s among four top-10s since the start of 2022 and has on his resume a runner-up finish, a T7 and a T11 on this layout. The results here haven’t been as good recently, but coming in swinging some hot sticks should make a difference.

Matt Kuchar +6000

When Cink won here last year he was in his 40s and well down the betting board. Not to make any comparisons, but Kuchar is down the list and in his mid-40s. He hasn’t competed since a runner-up finish at the Texas Open a few weeks ago so the aging body should be well rested. And Kooch hasn’t missed a cut here since 2004 going 17 for 17 with a win and a runner-up among his nine top-20s in that span.

Webb Simpson +2800

Simpson looks to regain his mojo on a course that’s been one of his favorite over the years. He won here in 2020 with a record 22-under 262 and placed among the top-10 last year in his title defense. He’s been T16 or better in the past five editions and in eight of the last 11, including two additional top-5s.

Jordan Spieth +3300

An MC at Augusta prolonged Spieth’s slump, but he’s another player with a history of strong showings at Harbour Town. Putting has been the culprit in his recent tailspin, however, he’s had a strong showing with the flat stick on this course gaining strokes in three of his past five trips resulting in top-15 finishes each time. I haven’t given up on Spieth and he’s offered at a good price for a player with a solid background.

Course: Harbour Town Golf Links – 7,121 yards, Par 71

Consistently ranked among one of the top courses in America, Harbour Town is also up there as one of the layouts the PGA Tour pros play on a yearly basis. While the track is short by Tour standards and a number of players in the field have attacked the course in the past, it’s still a difficult test even for the best golfers. Accuracy and positioning off the tee are paramount at Harbour Town with its narrow corridors and tree-lined fairways. Tee shots that land in the fairway could still be obstructed by overhanging trees, so luck is always important here. Another test is hitting the greens, which are among the smallest targets on Tour. Don’t expect a lot of eagles and the birdie rate is low on this layout making par a good friend of the field.
