The PGA Tour and DP World Tour are co-sanctioning this week’s Barbasol Championship in Kentucky. This event is for those players who did not qualify for the Genesis Scottish Open. Taylor Pendrith is the second-highest ranked player in the field and he is listed as the golf betting favorite. The top-ranked player from the DP World Tour is Julien Guerrier. Odds Analysis
Vincent Norrman +2800
Norrman has played well this year and there is no reason he can’t contend for the win this week. He ranks second in the field this week overall and his strengths, power off the tee and going for the green, will play well on this course. He will have some eagle chances this week and that could be huge.
Lucas Glover +3000
There are not that many players in the field this week that know how to win but Glover is one of them. He played well last week in the Quad Cities and he can definitely contend this week.
Cameron Champ +3500
Another bomber who should do well this week is Champ. He doesn’t win that often, but he usually knows how to do well against weaker fields. If you look at his three career wins, they came in the Sanderson Farms, Safeway Open and 3M Open. Champ has a good chance to contender this week.
Troy Merritt +4500
Merritt is another player who seems to do well against weaker fields. He won this event in 2018 and his history shows he does well in these alternate events. He hasn’t had a great season, but past winners of this event have not always played well leading into this tournament.
Justin Lower +4500
It was just a couple of weeks ago that Lower finished in a tie for 8th at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. He can definitely contend this week against a field that is much weaker than what you find on the PGA Tour in a regular week.
Jazz Janewattananond +9000
I will throw one bomb in here and go with Jazz. He has been playing well on the Asian Tour and the field this week isn’t much better than what he has faced over there.
Course: Keene Trace Golf Club is a par 72 course that measures 7,328 yards. It will be hosting this event for the fifth time. The course is located just south of Lexington and features big greens and lots of bunkers.
