LIV Golf Adelaide Odds - Bet on LIV Golf

LIV Golf Adelaide Odds

Brooks Koepka has seemingly regained his form winning in Orlando a few weeks ago to become the first two-time winner on the LIV circuit. He also had a strong showing at the Masters earning runner-up honors along with Phil Mickelson, who also had a breakout tournament after a slow start to his season. Those two and the 16 others who teed off in Augusta earlier this month will compete in LIV Golf Adelaide, the fourth of 14 tournaments on the season schedule. With his recent surge Koepka cracked the hold Dustin Johnson, Cameron Smith and Joaquin Niemann had on the top of the odds board. Brooks opened as the second favorite behind Smith, who looks to join Koepka as a two-time winner with a triumph on home soil. Odds Analysis

Abraham Ancer +2200

On the verge of becoming one of the hottest young players on the PGA Tour before making the jump, inconsistent play has gotten the better of Ancer since. With only 54 holes played you can’t afford to screw around and unfortunately Ancer hasn’t been completely dialed in. He’s put up good numbers dropping a 66 in Tucson and Orlando though he was unable to go below 70 in any of the other four rounds. His game is still there and with a jolt of confidence so too will be the higher finishes.

Branden Grace +3000

Grace has been the opposite of Ancer throwing out consistent efforts on a routine basis. He’s finished among the top 15 in six of the nine he events he completed with a win in Portland last year. He was third in Mayakoba and even his worst round of the season (73) in Tucson only dropped him to 11th. Much like another player we’ll discuss a little further down, Grace has the tools to go low at the Grange making his price even more inviting.

Phil Mickelson +4500

Narrow, tree-lined fairways are not friends of Mickelson so it really makes no sense to back him in this market. But nobody expected Lefty to ring up a co-runner-up at Augusta, either, so why not take a chance. His showing at the Masters was a bit, ummm, unexpected since he’s been horrible the last 12 months. He showed the game is still there with a closing 65 at Augusta, and while his odds improved over past tournaments, he’s still at a good price for a minor investment.

Patrick Reed +1600

Of the three who finished among the top 4 at Augusta I believe Reed is the one with the most to gain moving forward, especially this week. Like Lefty it’s been a struggle for Reed, but he too got a major confidence boost finishing T4 at the Masters. His accuracy and approach game will certainly be a benefit on this layout and with a new found swagger Reed has a standout chance.

Cameron Smith +1000

I’m going with Smith for two reasons. One, he’s a solid golfer. And two, this is a home game for him back in his native land. I usually don’t back the favorites since I’m always searching for better value, but I’ve found myself gravitating that way since the cream always rises to the top. And I really think Smith is ready to break out after finishing his Masters stay with a pair of 75s to finish a disappointing T34. And after watching Brooks, Lefty and Reed go all out at Augusts it’s Smith’s time to shine.

Course: The Grange Golf Club – 6,946 yards, par 72

LIV Golf makes its first trek down under with a visit to the Grange in South Australia. One of the most prestigious clubs around it features two internationally rated championship golf courses which will both be used this weekend. The layout features a composite made up of holes from the East and West courses that will stretch to approximately 6,946 yards. That’s a rough estimate and the length could vary, but either way it’s short by pro standards. LIV Golf Commissioner Greg Norman had input on the design and will certainly be more popular than ever with players this week. In typical Norman style the course features tree-lined fairways, plenty of bunkers and average-sized undulating greens. And following the performance of LIV golfers at the Masters with three placing among the top 5, interest is at an all time high.
