Odds Analysis

Brooks Koepka +750

Koepka is playing as well as anyone in the world right now and is familiar with the tournament and the layout after a runner-up finish in 2015. Koepka won the U.S. Open in June at Shinnecock Hills, successfully defending his title, and he’s captured three of the last six Major Championships. Koepka began his career on the European Tour and won four titles before joining the PGA tour.

Tommy Fleetwood +1150

Coming off an impressive 4-0 showing over the first two days to help Europe win the Ryder Cup, Fleetwood slowed a bit by the final singles round and was thumped by Tony Finau. One of the top performers on the European Tour with four victories, Fleetwood finished a stroke behind Koepka at the 2018 U.S. Open.

Tony Finau +1425

The best showing by any American at the Ryder Cup, Finau went 2-1 and destroyed Fleetwood 6 and 4 in the singles round. Finau has played his best golf this season with a 10th-place tie at The Masters, fifth at the U.S. Open and a ninth-place showing at The Open at Carnoustie.

Tyrrell Hatton +1450

The two-time defending champion played his finest golf at this event. His 24-under 264 at last year’s event was the lowest score recorded and he captured the title in 2017 with a 265. No doubt Hatton has the chops after a nice run on the PGA Tour this summer, but can he rebound after being a part of Europe’s Ryder Cup winning team?

Eddie Pepperell +2125

A runner-up finish at the Scottish Open and a sixth-place tie at The Open at Carnoustie nearly got him a spot on Europe’s Ryder Cup team. He hasn’t slowed down with a runner-up showing at the Portugal Masters his fifth top-10 in his last seven starts. Pepperell took seventh here last year after carding a final round 65 at St. Andrews.

Courses: Old Course at St. Andrews – 7,307-yards, par-72; Championship Course at Carnoustie – 7,345-yards, par-72; Kingsbarns Golf Links – 7,227-yards, par-72. As always, weather will be a factor. In the event of high winds green speeds need to be slower.
