NFL Week 15 Ugly Dog Picks - NFL Betting Odds

NFL Week 15 Ugly Dog Picks

Are you ready for another week of ugly dog picks in the NFL? We are coming off a 3-0 record last week that takes the season record to 33-25-2 ATS. Some of the best bets in the NFL each week are oftentimes wagers on teams that are considered the worst in the league. If you want to win money betting NFL games then you need to be willing to take teams no one else wants to bet. We refer to these teams as ugly dogs and you really have to hold your nose sometimes when you bet on them, but history has shown that going against the public works. We have four games to look at for this week.

Let’s look at the NFL Week 15 Ugly Dog picks.

Week 15 Ugly Dog Picks

Let me point out one fact that you are probably already aware of. When you bet these games, you are usually better off waiting until Sunday morning to make your wagers because you will probably get a better number than what I list from earlier in the week.

Chicago Bears +9.5 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

There is no question that the Eagles are the best team in the league and the public is on board, as they are betting the Eagles once again this week. The Bears have the worst record in the NFC and there is no reason to think they will be competitive in this game. Chicago gets a few plays from Justin Fields in terms of running the ball but he makes as many bad plays as he does good plays. The Chicago defense has been awful this season and they don’t figure to slow down Jalen Hurts and the explosive Philadelphia offense. This one is ugly, but again, that is the point. We’ll take the Bears plus the points as an ugly dog.

Houston Texans +14 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

The worst team in the NFL is the Houston Texans but they at least showed some heart last week and nearly beat the Cowboys. The Chiefs bolted out to a big lead last week against Denver and then made a bunch of boneheaded mistakes to let the Broncos back into the game. That was good news for us, as the Broncos were an ugly dog and covered the spread. The Texans are at home but what happened to Kansas City last week probably hurts Houston this week, as the Chiefs should be better prepared when they get a big lead. The Texans are going to have to find a way to score a lot of points to stay close because the Chiefs offense is rolling. This is another ugly one, as we take the Texans plus the points.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +4 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Is there an offense in the NFL that looks uglier right now than the one in Tampa Bay? It is not all Tom Brady’s fault, but the Bucs have all kinds of issues on offense. The problem for Tampa Bay started before the season when the team made a poor decision and made Todd Bowles their head coach. Bowles is a good defensive coordinator but he has never been a good head coach. The Bucs will probably still make the playoffs because of the rotten division they play in, but this is not a good Tampa team. They are taking on a red-hot Cincinnati team this week and this one could get ugly. It is surprising that the Bucs are an ugly dog, but that is where Tampa is right now. We take the Bucs plus the points as an ugly dog.

Los Angeles Rams +7 at Green Bay Packers

The Rams got a miracle win last week with Baker Mayfield stepping off a plane and into a new offense but Los Angeles still has a lot of problems on both sides of the ball. The Packers are definitely nothing special, but this is their last stand in terms of having any chance to make the playoffs. It will be cold in Green Bay and the Rams figure to struggle. We’ll take the Rams plus the points as an ugly dog.
