NFL Draft Quarterback Props

Need to get your NFL fix on? Well, the 2021 NFL Draft is right around the corner and BookMaker.eu has a plethora of prop bets available to make the proceedings more interesting. It’s not up there with the Super Bowl as far as the number of props, but to spice up the draft there are plenty of wagering possibilities.

Quarterbacks always spark interest at the draft and with several teams hungry for a franchise signal-caller, there are a number of bets regarding the most important position on the football field. The crop this year is loaded with talent led by Trevor Lawrence, who is the overwhelming favorite to be drafted first overall. There is no mystery at the top of the draft which is why all the betting excitement comes after Lawrence is off the board. According to some draft experts there are as many as six quarterbacks who could be taken in the first round.

BookMaker gets you ready to take your draft party to the next level. The Jacksonville Jaguars are on the clock first and they could use help throughout their roster. Building a team around a generational QB is the way to go and Lawrence certainly fits the bill. This is a perfect storm for both sides making the top pick a virtual lock. However, the draft is always unpredictable, which makes the hundreds of mock drafts leading up to the first day pointless.

The first round of the 2021 NFL Draft is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 29 from Cleveland. The draft will span three days, cover seven rounds, be televised by the league’s media partners and include more than 230 selections with compensatory picks included. All of the excitement, of course, takes place in the early rounds and at the very beginning of the Draft with the No. 1 overall pick.

2021 NFL Draft – First Pick of 2021 Draft

Trevor Lawrence -4050

Justin Fields +750

Zach Wilson +3000

Penei Sewell +3300

Again, there isn’t a lot of drama as far as the first overall pick is concerned. Lawrence has all the tools and he’s a proven winner, which is why he’s a huge negative odds favorite to start his NFL career with the worst team in the league. The top three favorites on the odds board are all quarterbacks showing us how stacked the position is. Not a lot separates the group of QBs after Lawrence creating plenty of great betting opportunities.

2021 NFL Draft - Who Will be 2nd QB Selected?

Zach Wilson -354

Justin Fields +143

Trey Lance +387

Mac Jones +3030

Trevor Lawrence +4532

Kyle Trask +5000

According to oddsmakers Zach Wilson is the second quarterback off the board. Not many heard of him before the 2020 season, but Wilson made a name for himself by accounting for 43 touchdowns and tossing just three picks. He placed among the top-5 nationally in several passing categories leading BYU to an 11-1 overall record. He left a lasting impression by throwing for 425 yards with five total touchdowns in the bowl romp over UCF. The level of competition is the only negative in an otherwise stellar season. BYU’s lone setback came against ranked Coastal Carolina.

Another player who shined with a stacked roster around him, Justin Fields struggled in Ohio State’s two biggest regular season games and again in the CFP title tilt. He may have done enough in the 2019 campaign and last season, including the semifinal when he torched Clemson. Another recent OSU draftee Dwayne Haskins flamed out which could give some teams second thoughts on taking Fields so high.

2021 NFL Draft - Who Will be 3rd QB Selected?

Justin Fields -164

Trey Lance +190

Zach Wilson +179

Mac Jones +880

Kyle Trask +5000

Trevor Lawrence +5000

If you watched Alabama play last season you were no doubt impressed by the talent on both sides of the football. Offensively the Tide steamrolled opponents, though Mac Jones got little credit. It was DeVonta Smith or Jaylen Waddle or Najee Harris getting all the praise. Someone had to distribute the ball and Jones was masterful. He was helped by the number of playmakers, but he also did a phenomenal job making him worthy of a high pick, though he’s unlikely to go in the first three selections.

Trey Lance is an intriguing prospect with plenty of upside. He doesn’t have a lot of experience and what he does have is at the lower level FCS. He will need seasoning at the NFL level and teams at the top of the draft board typically don’t have the time to mold a future star. And there is no guarantee Lance will ever become that.
