League of Legends 2020 LCS Summer Split Week 7 Preview

League of Legends 2020 LCS Summer Split Week 7 Preview

Suddenly, Cloud9 don’t appear so unbeatable. The Spring Split juggernauts started the Summer Split 8-0, but they have split their matches the last two weekends to fall into a tie for first place with Team Liquid. C9 are still the overall favorites to win the Summer Split, but Liquid are charging with seven consecutive victories. These two organizations will meet in the most hyped match of the week on Sunday.

League of Legends 2020 LCS Summer Split Week 7 Betting Odds

Team SoloMid -305

Dignitas +226

Even with the addition of Doublelift, it’s been two steps forward and one step back for TSM once more in the Summer Split. TSM are all alone in third place, but they are just 7-5 after losing three of their last four matches. They replaced Biofrost with Treatz at support, yet he wasn’t able to outperform his colleague last weekend. This team continues to be led by Bjergsen in the mid lane who has a 5.3 KDA per Games of Legends, but Doublelift has struggled on most champions outside of Aphelios.

Dignitas have won three of their last four matches after starting the season 0-8, but they just don’t have the star power to overcome TSM. If V1per plays in the top lane over Lourlo, he won’t be allowed to play Riven, and that takes away one of their biggest win conditions. We saw him excel on the champion once again after Counter Logic Gaming refused to ban the champion last weekend, so TSM won’t make that mistake.

FlyQuest -167

Golden Guardians +131

The play of FlyQuest in the Summer Split has been frustrating to their fans. This team seemed ready to take things to the next level after finishing runner-up to Cloud9 in the Spring Split, but they are just 6-6 this summer. WildTurtle moved back into the starting lineup over Mash last week, yet that isn’t the big issue. The main issue is that FlyQuest don’t have a top laner that can do anything other than play tanks. Solo has played either Sett or Ornn in nine games this split, so opposing teams know how to counter him.

The Guardians beat up on the worst two teams in the league last week, knocking off Dignitas and Immortals. They were able to knock off FlyQuest earlier this split, and while Hauntzer is not the playmaker he once was in the top lane, he has the potential to bully Solo in the laning phase.

Cloud9 -1198

Immortals +619

This figures to be a stomp, but it’s so difficult to bet any team at -1200 in League of Legends. C9 are the best team in the LCS by every metric, yet they might use their match against Immortals to experiment with new picks and count on their skill to carry the day. This team is known for its ingenuity, so it’s best to live bet this match after watching the draft play out.

Immortals have pulled off upsets over Golden Guardians, TSM, and CLG this season. They have a solid mid laner in Insanity, and Apollo and Hakuho are consistent in the bottom lane. That gives the underdogs some real hope ahead of this match.

Counter Logic Gaming -103

100 Thieves -122

Week 6 was very disappointing for 100 Thieves. They couldn’t capitalize on their performances in Week 5, but they have played the four best teams in the LCS over the last two weeks. It’s all downhill from here for this organization, so it wouldn’t be a shock to see this team win out given the remaining teams on their schedule. Although the Thieves have a worse record than CLG and lost to them earlier this split, they are deserved favorites.
