CS:GO DreamHack Masters Winter 2020: Europe Betting

The penultimate S-Tier CS:GO event of the year will kick off on Monday, November 30, when 16 European teams battle it out for the right to be crowned champion of DreamHack Winter Masters. Top teams like Heroic, Astralis, G2 Esports, and Complexity are all here, and that will give CS:GO fans plenty to cheer about during the holiday season.

Spirit -150

FaZe Clan +118

It hasn’t been a great season for FaZe Clan. They have only won one S-Tier tournament, and their struggles in summer played a big part in Niko’s decision to move to G2 Esports. Niko was FaZe’s most talented player and in-game leader, so team manager YNK decided to step down from his role shortly after the departure.

FaZe have only participated in five matches since Niko left, and they are 2-3. They defeated Vitality and OG, but they were swept by Complexity and G2 Esports and lost to BIG. This is a team full of cagey veterans with tons of winning experience, led by Coldzera with Kjaerbye and Olofmeister playing significant roles.

Spirit don’t have the same prestige, but they have won three B-Tier tournaments and an A-Tier tournament during this calendar year. They have a lot of experience playing together, as this roster has been together since September 2019. However, they have yet to consistently beat top teams so FaZe are a nice play as an underdog here.

c0ntact +464

Heroic -745

Heroic have been one of the best teams in the world over the last three months. They swept Vitality 3-0 to win ESL One: Cologne in August, claiming the $150,000 first place prize, and they topped Vitality once again to win the DreamHack Open last month. This is the top-ranked team in the world according to HLTV, and they have looked sharp since adding TeSeS and the Danish niko in April.

This is a tall task for c0ntact. They played their way into this competition by winning a closed qualifier three weeks ago, but they have perennially finished at the bottom of B-Tier events this season. We saw them take games off Dignitas and Fnatic at the most recent Flashpoint, yet there are still a ton of questions. Spinx and rigoN only joined this team in October, and they have yet to beat a team on the level of Heroic.

Mousesports -117

Team Liquid -108

These teams should give us the closest match on the first day of DreamHack Masters. Team Liquid became the second team to win the Intel Grand Slam last July, and their run in the summer of last year was one of the most incredible we have ever seen in CS:GO. However, they have fallen off this year with just one S-Tier tournament win. That led to a shake-up with Moses taking over as coach in August, and he is still putting his touches on the team.

Mousesports do a superb job of finding overlooked talent, and they are hoping that Bymas is the next in that line. They signed him right before his 17th birthday in August, and he has made a name for himself. This team only brought in new coach mithR in the last two weeks though, so Liquid are the play at this price.

GODSENT +497

Astralis -823

The perennial kings of CS:GO are the biggest favorite of the day. Astralis are the greatest organization in the history of this Esport, and they have their full lineup available once more. Xyp9x and gla1ve both stepped away from the team in May, but they have returned to the team over the last couple months, giving Astralis their preferred starting five back. They swept GODSENT last month at the DreamHack Open, and that’s the likely result in this meeting too.
