2022 League of Legends LEC Summer Split Week 3 Odds

2022 League of Legends LEC Summer Split Week 3 Betting

There is a surprising team at the top of the LEC Summer Split standings. Excel Esports is tied with G2 Esports for first place at 4-1. Excel lost to G2, but the team has wins over Fnatic, MAD Lions, and Team Vitality to its credit. We will see Excel take on two of the worst three teams over the next two weeks, so there is a good chance that they enter the halfway point of the season as one of the two or three top teams in Europe. That would be quite the improvement considering Excel has never finished better than .500 in the regular season.

2022 League of Legends LEC Summer Split Week 3 Betting Odds

Misfits Gaming -150

Team BDS +117

It’s been a tough start to the season for Misfits Gaming. Misfits lost its first four matches before finally beating SK Gaming last week, and they were the least team in the LEC to win a match. This is not the best meta for star mid laner Vetheo, and the rest of the squad is really struggling.

Team BDS has shown signs of life despite a 1-4 start, and their decision to go with academy players is starting to pay off. BDS should probably have two wins as they have lost some winnable games late, so it’s clear that they know the meta better than their opponents.

Team Vitality -223

SK Gaming +170

There’s no denying that Team Vitality has been awfully disappointing in 2022. Vitality was supposed to challenge for the league title, but they have not played together well as a team. Perkz and Alphari are talented but are playing disjointed, and that has had a real adverse effect on chemistry.

Vitality should not have trouble with SK Gaming though. SK Gaming has lost four straight matches after beating Team BDS on the first day, and SK was fortunate to beat BDS. This team just doesn’t have the same talent as Vitality, and they don’t have a good grasp of the meta either.

Excel Esports +104

Rogue -133

While Excel is a great story, Rogue is the more talented team and should win this match. Rogue has bounced back from a rough start with three straight wins, and the bottom lane is performing much better. Excel should prioritize taking Senna away from Comp as he has been superb on the champion, but Rogue will likely counter by taking Yuumi away from Mikyx.

Astralis +213

Fnatic -285

It’s been fun to watch Astralis and new support JeongHoon. He has been excellent through the first two weeks of the season, proving myself and others wrong with his incredible play. That has helped Kobbe succeed in the bottom lane, and Xerxe has done a solid job in the jungle supporting his lanes too.

Fnatic has been a bit disappointing at the start of the Summer Split. However, there is no denying the strength of the bottom lane. They are doing a lot of experimenting early in the split, but this is match that they should come together and win handily.

G2 Esports -194

MAD Lions +150

The two most recent LEC champions will square off in what should be the best match of the week. MAD Lions have bounced back after a disappointing Spring Split and should make the playoffs in the Summer Split. Nisqy has been a big help in the mid lane, and Armut has been great in the top lane. The big question is bottom laner Unf0rgiven though, as he has a very low kill percentage for an AD Carry.

I pointed out last week that G2 doesn’t always take the regular season seriously, and they lived up to that standard by losing to Team BDS as a huge favorite per the League of Legends betting odds. They have won their other four games this season, but MAD Lions should be their toughest test yet given their understanding of the meta.
