2021 LCK Spring Split Week 4 Betting Preview

2021 LCK Spring Split Week 4 Preview

After spending the first three weeks of the 2021 League of Legends season focusing on North America and the LCS Lock-In Tournament, let’s look halfway around the world at the league that has produced more world champions than all other regions combined. The LCK has produced six of the 10 League of Legends world champions. SK Telecom T1 (now T1) has won three titles, Samsung Galaxy (now Gen. G) has won two titles, and DAMWON Gaming (now DWG KIA) won last year’s championship. There is so much talent in the LCK, it’s important to keep an eye on this region throughout the year.

2021 LCK Spring Split Week 4 Betting Odds

DWG Kia -1438

Liiv SANDBOX +686

To no one’s surprise, the defending world champions are currently the best team in the LCK. DWG KIA are 5-1 with their only loss being a stunning 2-0 defeat at the hands of Fredit BRION. They have had little trouble with everyone else, but there are some issues with this team. Ghost is clearly a tier below the best bottom laners in the region, and Khan has had some good and bad moments in his return to Korea.

ShowMaker continues to be arguably the best mid laner in the world though. He has a 7.0 KDA with some insane Zoe performances through three weeks. Canyon can hard win in the jungle too, so Liiv SANDBOX will have their work cut out for them.

FATE has been great in the mid lane with a 5.7 KDA while doing over 30 percent of his team’s damage per Games of Legends. However, the bottom lane is struggling to dish out damage, and both Leo and Route are getting caught out way too often. They won’t be able to punish DWG Kia in the bottom lane like they need to for the win.

Nongshim Red Force +320

Gen. G -459

It’s been an up and down season for Nongshim. They have yet to knock off a team with a winning record, but they have been continually competitive and took games off both T1 and DRX. They have two real playmakers in Peanut and Deokdam, and Rich has his moments in the top lane too.

The weakness for Nongshim is in the mid lane because Bay hasn’t been playing well. However, BDD was just subbed out for rookie Karis, so Bay is unlikely to lose lane hard even if BDD returns. They have the potential to mitigate the play of Ruler and Rascal too, making Red Force a great pick at these odds.

T1 -745

Fredit BRION +464

The most decorated team in Korea continues to be a massive favorite despite shaky play. T1 are 9-10 in individual games this year, but they are heavy chalk against Fredit BRION.

It’s anyone’s guess as to who we will see start for T1 outside of Keria in support. T1 has played two players at every other position, but it looks like 17-year-old Zeus is ready to take over for Canna in the top lane. Mid lane is not the lane kingdom it was in the past though, as Faker and Clozer have split time.

Fredit BRION have to be the play here although they are much less talented. We’ve seen this team rise to the occasion before, and UmTi can get his team ahead in the jungle.

Afreeca Freecs +105

KT Rolster -132

This is the most even game for the rest of the week. Both teams are 3-3, and their fans have become cautiously optimistic. Two of the longest brands in the LCK are both out to return to prominence after some disappointing performances in 2020.

Afreeca Freecs should be the pick at more than even odds, as I have them pegged as a slight favorite. The bottom lane has not been great, and Lehends can continually set up Bang in the laning phase and beyond.
