2021 EU Masters Quarterfinals Betting Preview

2021 EU Masters Quarterfinals Betting

All of the top teams in the world are currently preparing for the League of Legends World Championship in Iceland in a few weeks, but there is still some action available for those looking to bet on League of Legends. The EU Masters just finished up its Group Stage and eight teams have advanced to the knockout stages. Karmine Corp is out to defend its title from the spring, but the French organization is no longer the unstoppable juggernaut we saw a few months ago.

2021 EU Masters Quarterfinals Betting Odds

Movistar Riders -455

Fnatic Rising +289

There is familiarity between these teams as they faced off twice in the Play-In Stage. Both teams qualified to the Group Stage and now they will square off again after Movistar Riders finished atop Group B and Fnatic Rising finished runner-up in Group C.

Movistar Riders have a proven jungler in Maxlore. Maxlore was part of the Misfits Gaming team that made it to the quarterfinals of the 2017 League of Legends World Championships before falling to three-time champion SK Telecom T1 in a five-game series. The veteran has a 6.2 KDA to this point at EU Masters, leading his team.

Meanwhile, Fnatic Rising were not that impressive in the Group Stage despite their record. AD Carry Bean was caught out way too often, and mid laner Dajor did not look too strong in the laning phase while posting a 2.1 KDA. That’s a potential problem for Fnatic Rising.

BIG -370

PDW +250

PDW are a trendy upset pick due to the play of their top two players. Mid laner Czajek has a 22.8 KDA through seven games, and bottom laner Odi11 has a 17 KDA. The Polish squad will prioritize power picks for those two members, and BIG might not be able to match.

BIG does have a great jungler in Akabane. The French jungler has a 9.0 KDA and a 71% kill percentage through six games. He has shown proficiency on the three most powerful junglers now in Viego, Lee Sin, and Xin Zhao, but this team is vulnerable.

Karmine Corp -417

UCAM Club +276

This iteration of Karmine Corp isn’t as strong as the team we saw dominate Spring. Prodigy top laner Adam is now with Fnatic, and although Cabochard is a quality veteran, he is a downgrade from Adam. Mid laner Saken can be way too aggressive at times, and the bottom lane has issues at times because xMatty doesn’t always play the S-Tier champions in this meta.

UCAM Club made it to the semifinals of EU Masters in Spring, and this team has what it takes to win it all if top laner Dreedy can play somewhat well. Dreedy has not played well to this point though with a 1.8 KDA and a 39.9% kill percentage. Bottom laner Rafitta has been superb though, dealing 35.2% of his team’s damage per Games of Legends.

Misfits Premier -370

Vodafone Giants +247

The underdogs in this series have little chance of making it to the semifinals. Vodafone Giants have recognizable names like top laner Th3Antonio and former LEC players in Attila and Kasing. However, the latter two players are on the down slope of their careers, and we have seen some weaknesses from Th3Antonio.

Misfits Premier have a potential world class jungler in Shlatan. The Polish prodigy should be the next player from EU Masters to be picked up by an LEC team, as he has been phenomenal. Shlatan boasts an 8.2 KDA, and there isn’t a weak player on this squad.
