2021 EU Masters Finals Betting

The two teams in the 2021 EU Masters Finals have very different backstories. Karmine Corp is the team that everyone expected to be here. The French juggernauts won the Spring Masters and were seen as the tournament favorite this time too. They won Group D with a 5-1 record before sweeping UCAM Esports Club in the quarterfinals and holding on to beat BIG in five games in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Fnatic Rising lost its regional final and needed to play its way into the Group Stage. They finished second in their Play-In Group and needed to upset a group winner in the knockout rounds to make it to the proper Group Stage, where they finished second in their group again. Fnatic Rising was a big underdog to Movistar Riders in the quarterfinals but upset them 3-1 and then pulled off another upset in a 3-2 win over Misfits Gaming in the semifinals.

The 2021 EU Masters Finals will be broadcast on Twitch and YouTube on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 12 p.m. ET.

Karmine Corp -345

Fnatic Rising +233

Karmine Corp is a significant favorite over Fnatic Rising in this series. The LFL titans have two of the most talented laners that aren’t on LEC teams on the continent in top laner Cabochard and mid laner Saken.

Cabochard is a former Team Vitality top laner. Although he isn’t as talented as former top laner Adam, he has proven to be a very useful addition. Cabochard is dealing 25.2% of his team’s damage per Games of Legends, and he boasts a 4.8 KDA. He has made traditional and non-traditional top lane picks work too.

As for Saken, he was the LFL MVP for the Summer Split. Karmine Corp’s star mid laner leads the team with a 6.2 KDA, as he has dazzled on control mage Azir and assassin LeBlanc during the EU Masters. Saken is reminding Europe why he was considered such a promising prospect with Team Vitality, and it’s only a matter of time before he returns to the LEC.

The bottom lane is probably the “weak link”, but it’s still pretty good. Xmatty is leading Karmine Corps in damage percentage, even though he ranks last in kill percentage. He has been superb on Varus with a 13.4 KDA in four games. Targamas has proven to have a deep champion pool too, and his play on Bard and Pyke was impressive.

Fnatic Rising have been led by Bean since the quarterfinals. Although he looked shaky in the Group Stage, he really stepped up his play in the knockout rounds and now boasts a 6.6 KDA and a whopping 25.7 KDA on Varus. Support Rhuckz has not been great on engage champions though.

Jungler Maxi is playing exceptional for Fnatic Rising. He ranks second on the team with a 5.6 KDA, and his Nidalee and Lee Sin play has been pivotal to their success.

The issue is with the laners for this team. Top laner Pride has been dependent on Gangplank and Kennen although he hasn’t been particularly great on either. He is doing 27.3% of his team’s damage, but his 2.8 KDA ranks last on FNC Rising. Mid laner Dajor will be at a disadvantage against Saken too. Dajor has only looked great on Twisted Fate and Sylas on this stage.

Saken and Cabochard will be instrumental in a 3-1 win for Karmine Corp over Fnatic Rising. They will become the first team to win multiple titles, much less repeat as champions.
