Phoenix Suns at Golden State Warriors NBA Odds

Phoenix Suns at Golden State Warriors NBA Betting

Not long ago this late-season showdown between Western Conference heavyweights looked like it could decide the top overall seed in the NBA playoffs. Well, that’s no longer the case with the Phoenix Suns running away from the Golden State Warriors and everyone else to clinch the best overall record in the Association with a few weeks remaining in the regular season. There isn’t much for the Suns to play for until the postseason begins, but they have dropped two of three games to the Warriors this season and they certainly don’t want the Dubs thinking they have their number. Phoenix has won seven in a row on the road and eight straight overall with payouts in seven of those games.

The NBA game between the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors will air live on ESPN with tip off at 10 p.m. ET on March 30, 2022 from Chase Center in San Francisco, CA. BookMaker.eu will have betting options for every game on the NBA schedule.

Odds Analysis

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Suns take it easy as the season winds down. After all they’ve clinched the best record and homecourt advantage throughout the postseason. But that’s just not their nature. They had everything secured before beating Denver 140-130 last Thursday and they could have rested against the Sixers on Sunday, but they didn’t. They won that game by 10 points for their eighth consecutive victory. Six of the wins during the streak were by double digits with the Suns going 7-1 ATS. The only team to beat them more than once is Golden State so the Suns would like to even the score and they’ve been a good bet on the road going 30-6 SU and 23-13 ATS.

While the Warriors are scuffling now they should be closer to full strength come playoff time. And there’s a chance these teams could meet in a postseason series. The Dubs lost for the fifth time in six games Sunday at Washington and complete their road trip with a game in Memphis on Monday. It’s been a tough go since the middle of last month with the Dubs going just 7-14 SU and ATS over their last 21 games. They fell behind Memphis in the West and are desperately trying to hold off Dallas, Utah and Denver for the third slot. They will be without Steph Curry for a little while longer. They are 1-4 SU and ATS in five games since Curry sustained a foot injury.

Phoenix Suns

While they’ve accomplished all they can during a regular season, don’t expect the Suns to take it easy the rest of the way. Motivation isn’t a problem and beating a competitor in the conference is a big deal. The Suns are fixated on getting back to the Finals using their run to the title as incentive. “The motivation comes from last year. Making it all the way to the Finals and not achieving the main goal – that’s the ultimate motivation,” Jae Crowder said.

If you’re healthy you’re going to play. The Suns trotted out their starting lineup on Sunday with Devin Booker scoring 35 points and Chris Paul adding 19 points and 14 assists. They could have slipped with Paul out of the lineup instead the Suns went 11-4 SU and 8-7 ATS. They have payout wins in both games since CP3 returned to the court.

Golden State Warriors

A few weeks ago Draymond Green said the Warriors are going to win the NBA championship. Since then his game has gone in the toilet and Curry got hurt. The good news is that Curry should be back in time for the postseason, we don’t know about Green’s game. It’s not like the Warriors suddenly went in the tank when Curry hurt his foot. In fact the struggles started well before that. The offense picked up when Klay Thompson returned and got his legs after over two years of inactivity. But play on the other end has tailed off.

Part of that can be attributed to the Warriors lack of size and inability to defend big men who can score the basketball. At one time they were the most efficient defensive team in the league but that’s changed. We’ve seen too many games where opponents are making a lot of easy baskets and scoring plenty of points. They gave up more than 120 in losses to Atlanta and Washington while cashing the OVER in three straight games.

Suns at Warriors NBA Odds Pick

Despite their recent struggles the Warriors are still a threat in the West and the Suns know that. Phoenix sent a message to Philadelphia on Sunday in a 10-point win knowing they could matchup in the Finals. And the Suns will attempt to do the same on Wednesday against a team that’s beaten them twice.
