NBA Playoffs - Phoenix Suns at Los Angeles Lakers Game 6 Odds

Suns at Lakers NBA Playoff Game 6 Betting

The Los Angeles Lakers now find themselves on the verge of being bounced from the playoffs after the Phoenix Suns took the wood to them in Game 5 to reclaim the series lead and set this win or go home bout up against the defending champs. LA’s effort was nothing if not embarrassing. Anthony Davis didn’t score a single point sitting on the sidelines, but still ended up scoring just as many points as Kenneth Caldwell-Pope and Dennis Schroder. Phoenix took full advantage of the big man’s absence to cruise to the 30-point win and cover as 4.5-point favorites per the closing NBA odds at online sportsbooks. LeBron James just lost back-to-back games in the first round of the playoffs for the first time in his storied career. Will he make even more personal history and drop a third in a row in Game 6? Not if the NBA and networks have their way!

Game 6 of the best-of-seven series between the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers will tip-off on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from the Staples Center. The game will be broadcast live on TNT at 10:30 p.m. ET. We'll have NBA Playoff odds and player props available at BookMaker.eu for every game going on tonight’s NBA slate.

Odds Analysis

The Suns have exhibited a ton of moxie stealing back all the momentum of this series. After cruising to the 99-90 win and cover in the series opener, Phoenix would go on to lose each of the next two games to fall into a 1-2 series hole. Instead of letting the reigning champs have their way with them in Game 4, Devin Booker and company punched the Lakers right in the mouth to score the 100-92 outright win and cover to even the series back up. It then went out and laid the smack down to go up 3-2 in Game 5. For the season, Phoenix stands 5-3 SU and ATS in the eight played meetings with the under also cashing in five times. The home team is 3-2 SU and ATS in this series with the under cashing in all but once and an average of 199.2 points hitting the board.

Phoenix Suns

Booker was largely quiet in both games three and four in Tinseltown where he only averaged 18 points, 5.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game. But back home in the comforts of Talking Stick Arena for Game 5, No. 1 was back to being the cold blooded assassin that he proved to be earlier in the series. Booker’s outputs at home have been dramatically different than the road. He’s averaged nearly 32 points per game back home for crying out loud! If Phoenix is to put the defending champs out of their misery on their own floor on Thursday night, the Suns PTPer best bring his “A” game to the gym. You can bet your bottom dollar that Los Angeles won’t go quiet into the night like they just did on Tuesday night!

Los Angeles Lakers

I get that Davis wasn’t suited up and Caldwell-Pope wasn’t 100 percent, but what kind of effort was that in Game 5? LA looked competitive early on in the first quarter, but everything turned for the worse in the blink of an eye immediately after. Once the first half came to a close and Phoenix outscored the Lakers by 22 points in the second quarter, it was pretty much a done deal. LBJ held up his end of the bargain scoring a team-high 24 points on 9 of 19 shooting, but the next highest scorers proved to be Kyle Kuzma (15) and Talen Horton-Tucker (11) - pathetic! The Lake Show shot an impotent 35 percent from the field and turned the ball over 16 times. If not for winning the rebounding battle 51-47, they could’ve lost by 50!

Phoenix vs. Los Angeles Prediction

If you believe in conspiracy theories, the Lakers won’t be going down in defeat late Thursday night. If you’re an experienced sports bettor, you know every Tom, Dick and Harry will be lining up to back the Suns in Game 6 after the dissection just put forth two night’s prior. If you can believe it, the Lakers are going to offer up some betting line value in Game 6 regardless of whether The Brow’s groin is good enough to give it a go or not. After becoming the first defending champ to lose a game by 30+ points in the first round in NBA history, I fully expect the Lakers to put forth a “circle the wagons” type effort and send this series back to the desert for a seventh and deciding game. Hit LA pre-game. Should they fall into an early first half deficit, hit the Lakers on the readjusted in-game betting point spread and moneyline; they’re not losing this game!
