NBA Odds - Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers Game 3 NBA Finals Preview

NBA Finals Game 3 Warriors vs Cavaliers Odds

The Cleveland Cavaliers have their backs against the wall as they head home for Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The Golden State Warriors pulled out a nail-biter in the series opener and then cruised in Game 2 to take a 2-0 lead as the teams head to Cleveland. If the Warriors win again next time out they can start getting their fingers sized for another championship ring.

The Cavaliers are the underdogs once again but this is their best chance at grabbing a game and making this a competitive series. LeBron James is going to need to try to put together another superhuman effort in order for his team to pull the upset.

The Warriors are the superior team and can put a vice lock on this series by taking care of business on the road in Game 3 in NBA basketball betting.

Game 3 of the 2018 NBA Finals is on Wednesday, June 4, 2018 at 9 p.m. ET at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The contest will be nationally televised on ABC.

We'll have NBA odds at BookMaker.eu available for every game of the 2018 NBA Playoffs.

Odds Analysis

The Warriors are on the road but that hasn’t stopped the oddsmakers from instituting them as the 5-point favorites to claim this contest. The betting public believes that number is too high as Cleveland is getting about 65 percent of the action to cover the spread.

The scoring total is listed at 217.5 points, with the “under” the more popular choice. The Warriors are the -190 favorites to capture this contest while the Cavaliers are the +163 underdogs to pull off the upset. The Cavaliers are getting more than 91 percent of the action on the moneyline at those odds.

Last Time Out

While Game 1 was close throughout, the Warriors took control by halftime of Game 2 and stayed in control down the stretch for the 122-103 win.

Stephen Curry led the way with 33 points, eight assists and seven rebounds while Kevin Durant added 26 points, nine rebounds and seven assists while shooting 10-of-14 from the field. James had a good game by anyone else’s standards but it wasn’t dominant like needed. He finished with 29 points, 13 assists and nine rebounds after going for 51 in Game 1. The Cavs shot only 33 percent from downtown and will need to hit at a better clip in Game 3 to have a shot at winning.

Key Stat

57. That’s the percentage Golden State shot from the field in Game 2. When the Warriors are shooting that efficiently, there isn’t a team in the world that can stop them. Durant was great while Shaun Livingston and Javale McGee were great complements to the Big Four, as they combined to go 11-for-11 from the field.

The Warriors also shot 41 percent from the field. The team always gets great looks because there are so any elite offensive options on the floor. The Cavs just need to hope that they don’t shoot this well in the rest of the series because it will be a short one if that’s the case.

Free NBA ATS Picks

Golden State is clearly going to win this series, but do the Cavaliers have a little bit of a stand within them? Look for a great performance from James as he realizes the season is on the line. More than anything, the other players on Cleveland should perform better at home which should be enough to pull the upset.

Everyone is jumping on the Cavaliers on the moneyline as that is the right play in NBA basketball gambling. Take the “over” as well on the scoring total.

NBA ATS Pick: Cavaliers 111, Warriors 108
