NBA Basketball Odds - Houston Rockets at Golden State Warriors Game 2 Preview

NBA Basketball Odds

The Golden State Warriors didn’t play the prettiest basketball in Game 1 but instead relied on their defense to knock off the Houston Rockets to open up their much-anticipated series in the Western Conference semifinals.

The teams will be back at it again on Tuesday, as Houston would love to buck the odds and pull off the upset to even the series at 1. Most pundits believe the winner of this series will win the championship, so it’s a very intriguing showdown. Golden State will have the advantage once again as these teams face off in NBA gambling.

This NBA basketball game between the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors will be held at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California at 10:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, April 30th, 2019. The game will be nationally televised on TNT.

We'll have NBA basketball odds at BookMaker.eu available for every game of the 2019 NBA season.

Odds Analysis

The Warriors are listed as the six-point favorites to win Game 2, a half-point higher than the spread in Game 1. The Rockets are listed as the +195 underdog to pull the upset on the moneyline, while Golden State comes in at -235 to take care of business.

The scoring total for this game is listed at 218.5 points, which is quite a bit lower than the first game as the “under” easily hit in that one. Houston covered in Game 1 despite losing in NBA gambling.

Last Time Out

The first game of the series did not have the free-flowing offense that most expected, but give credit to the defenses of both sides. Stephen Curry hit a big three-pointer late in the game and James Harden missed one to tie the contest with only a few seconds remaining as the Warriors held on for the 104-100 victory.

Kevin Durant led the way for Golden State with 35 points on 11-of-25 from the field. The Warriors shot 50.7 percent from the floor but turned the ball over 20 times, which allowed Houston to hang around.

Harden finished with 35 points but shot only 9-of-28. Eric Gordon was actually the team’s best player, finishing with 27 points on 10-of-19 shooting.

Injury Report

The star backcourt of Curry and Klay Thompson was questionable for Golden State heading into the game, as both players are dealing with ankle sprains. However, they were both able to participate and did not noticeably struggle.

Curry finished with 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Thompson had 13 points, four rebounds and a pair of steals while playing impressive defense. These two are critical to the Warriors and seem to be good to go for Game 2, but keep an eye on any health updates before kickoff.

The Rockets were able to hang around in Game 1, but Golden State’s offense was much more in sync. Harden is getting a lot of attention from the Warriors’ defense and he is going to have to shoot better for the team to have a shot in Game 2.

Golden State isn’t going to turn the ball over as much next time out and should be able to cover this spread to take a 2-0 lead in the series. The “under” is once again the pick as the pace of this game could resemble the first contest with more halfcourt offense than expected in NBA wagering.

NBA ATS Pick: Golden State Warriors 112, Houston Rockets 103
