NBA Basketball Odds - Golden State Warriors at Portland Trail Blazers Game 3 Preview

NBA Basketball Odds

The Splash Brothers are in full effect. Another big outing from Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson led to a comeback win for the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of their Western Conference Finals against the Portland Trail Blazers. Golden State is up 2-0 and looking to put a chokehold on the series on Saturday.

However, the Blazers played much better last time out and a similar performance at home in Game 3 could get them on the board in this series. Portland is the favorite because of the change in location and needs to take advantage, or else its postseason exit will be a foregone conclusion in NBA gambling.

This NBA basketball game between the Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers will be held at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday, May 18th, 2019. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.

We'll have NBA basketball odds at BookMaker.eu available for every game of the 2019 NBA season.

Odds Analysis

The Blazers were the underdogs in the first two games of the series but are now the 2.5-point favorites back at home. Portland comes in at -135 on the moneyline while the Warriors are the small underdogs, listed at +115 to pull the upset. The scoring total comes in at 221 points.

Even though Portland lost on Thursday, it covered the spread easily and paid off the bettors that believed in them in NBA wagering.

Last Time Out

Curry had 37 points and Thompson added 24 as the Warriors rallied from a 15-point halftime deficit to beat the Blazers, 114-111, in Game 2. Portland took a one-point lead with only about a minute remaining in the contest on a bucket by Curry’s brother, Seth, but Kevon Looney answered for the Warriors. Portland had a pair of late chances to tie or take the lead but C.J. McCollum missed a shot and Damian Lillard’s late three-pointer was blocked.

Seth Curry played well for Portland, finishing with 16 points, but he didn’t get enough help. Lillard struggled shooting the ball for a second straight game and needs to break out in Game 3 to help his team claw back into this series. Golden State erased the big deficit by the end of the third quarter and then made the key buckets down the stretch.

Injury Report

Golden State star forward Kevin Durant is not going to travel to Portland, so he will be out for at least the next two games with the calf strain he suffered against the Houston Rockets. Durant will be re-evaluated in one week and it’s unknown when he will get back on the court.

Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins will also be re-evaluated in a week as he attempts to play again this season after suffering a quadriceps injury early in the postseason. The Warriors are 3-0 without Durant and Cousins but would still prefer to get them back, especially with a possible matchup against the Bucks in the NBA Finals.

Free NBA ATS Picks

The Blazers will have plenty of motivation to win Game 3 and make this a series, but the Warriors are just too good. Golden State is a great bet on the moneyline at these odds as another big game from Steph Curry should lead to a win and a dominant lead in the series.

The “over” is something that should be considered as this game will be played at a feverish pace in NBA betting lines.

NBA ATS Pick: Golden State Warriors 116, Portland Trail Blazers 114
