Milwaukee Bucks at Golden State Warriors NBA Betting

Former NBA champions and league MVPs take to the hardwood in Saturday’s primetime matchup when the Milwaukee Bucks tangle with the Golden State Warriors. Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has the defending champs angling for a top seed in the Eastern Conference and he got the better of another two-time winner Steph Curry scoring 30 points in Milwaukee’s 118-99 payout victory in January. The Bucks have won three of the last four meetings in the series and enter on a hot streak averaging over 128 points during a five-game winning streak.

The NBA matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors will air live on ABC on Saturday, March 12, 2022 with tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET from Chase Center in San Francisco, CA. BookMaker.eu will have betting options for every game on the NBA schedule.

Odds Analysis

The Bucks have put together three winning streaks of five games or more this season. The latest took place earlier this week against Oklahoma City. The Bucks won their fifth straight, 142-115, on the heels of big wins over conference rivals Miami and Chicago and a Finals rematch with Phoenix. They covered the 12.5-point spread against the Thunder, their third straight payout and fourth in five games. The NBA’s highest scoring team has also been on a roll against the total cashing the over in 11 of their past 13 games. Milwaukee closed as a 1-point home favorite beating the Warriors 118-97 on Jan. 13.

The Warriors were trending the other direction having lost five in a row and seven of eight before beating the Clippers 112-97 on Tuesday. You could even go back a bit further to see the beginning of their slide. They dropped consecutive games to Utah and New York early last month setting the stage for a 2-9 SU and ATS record. There was some relief with a payout win over the Clips on Tuesday improving the Warriors to 44-22 SU and 32-30-4 ATS overall.

Milwaukee Bucks

When the Bucks play the way they’ve been playing for the last two weeks they’re a fun team to watch. Three times during their five-game winning streak they scored at least 130 points while averaging over 128 points in that span. And they’ve been a good bet on the OVER playing above the closing total in 11 of their past 13 games. In their past six road games the Bucks are 5-1 SU and ATS while averaging nearly 129 points and cashing the OVER five times.

The usual suspects lead the way with Antetokounmpo averaging 29.4 points, Khris Middleton 20.2 and Jrue Holiday 18.5. They’ve helped the Bucks take over the NBA lead in scoring with an average of 114.5 points. Led by 30 points from Giannis in the first meeting, the Bucks went wire-to-wire in the 118-99 decision. As a team the Bucks shot 51 percent from the field and were 18 of 41 on three-pointers earning their third win in four games against the Warriors.

Golden State Warriors

A makeup game with Denver on Monday caused some issues in the schedule forcing the team to play four games in six nights with two trips to the Mile High City. Curry, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins took one for the team by not travelling and the outcome was expected. Playing shorthanded the Dubs put up a fight covering the 8-point spread in the 131-124 setback. Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala and Gary Payton Jr. also missed the Denver game.

With their top three scorers back in the lineup against the Clippers on Tuesday, the Warriors finally tasted victory. And things are looking better as far as the roster goes. Green and Iggy could be back as early as next week and Payton had a minor issue that won’t keep him out long. The absence of Green has had an effect on the Warriors defense. They allowed at least 122 points in four straight games before holding the Clips to 35 percent shooting and 97 points on Tuesday. Still, the OVER is 8-2-1 in their previous 11 games.

Defense has been an issue lately, but stopping big men who can score has been a problem all season for the Warriors. Giannis and the Bucks have been lighting it up over the past two weeks with contributions from the entire roster. The Dubs can fill it up, too, with Curry, Thompson and Wiggins, and all three are back in the rotation. Monday’s game in Denver was a great experience for the younger guys, according to Steve Kerr, and they responded with a big game offensively giving plenty of value to the OVER.
