MLB Wednesday, May 3 Parlay Picks

It has been a red-hot start to the MLB season for the MLB parlay picks, as we have had a number of winning parlays. There are four matinees on Wednesday, including the Giants at the Astros on MLB Network. There are three other nationally televised games on Wednesday, as the Blue Jays visit the Red Sox on MLB Network, the Orioles are at the Royals on ESPN+ and the Mariners visit the A's on MLB Network. We have a few big-name pitchers on the mound on Wednesday, including Shohei Ohtani in St. Louis to take on the Cardinals. Let’s look at Wednesday, May 3 MLB parlay picks.

The Giants visit the Astros on Wednesday and it should be an excellent pitching matchup with Brandon Webb going for San Francisco, while Houston sends Framber Valdez. It has been a slow start to the season for Webb who comes into this game at 1-5 with a 4.10 ERA. I think he has turned the corner, as he went 7 innings against the Mets and allowed just five hits and two runs and then he went 6.2 innings against the Cardinals and gave up just seven hits and two runs. I expect him to keep the Giants in this one. On the other side, Valdez has been good, even though is record is just 2-3. He comes into this game with an ERA of just 2.54. I’ll go under the total with the Giants and Astros as the first game in the parlay.

Pirates-Rays Under 7.5

The pitching matchup for Wednesday in Tampa should be a good one with Mitch Keller going for the Pirates, while the Rays send their ace, Shane McClanahan. The Pirates have been a huge surprise so far this season and Keller is unbeaten with a record of 3-0 with a 3.53 ERA. McClanahan has been excellent again this season, as he comes into this game with a 5-0 record and a 2.12 ERA. I know the Rays have been scoring more runs than expected this season, but this has all the looks of a pitching duel that goes under the total. I’ll take the Pirates and Rays under as the second game in the parlay.

Mariners

This is a good series for the Mariners to get things going in the right direction, as they take on the pathetic Athletics. Seattle also has their top three pitchers going in this series, as Logan Gilbert went on Tuesday and on Wednesday it is George Kirby and then Luis Castillo finishes things up on Thursday. Kirby is coming off perhaps his best start of his career, as he threw a complete game on the road against the Phillies, going 8 innings and allowing just one run, but the Mariners couldn’t score and he took the loss. Kirby is 2-2 with a 2.93 ERA this season. On the other side it should be JP Sears and there hasn’t been much to like about Sears, as he is 0-2 with a 6.23 ERA. It doesn’t matter to me who the A’s throw, as this is a play on the Mariners and Kirby. I’ll take Seattle as the last team in the parlay.
