MLB Wednesday, May 24 Parlay Picks

Wednesday is getaway day for some teams in Major League Baseball, so we’ll have five matinees to consider to go along with the night games. If you haven’t been following the MLB parlay picks, you have been missing out, as we have had some good success in the first two months of the season. We’ll look to continue the momentum on Wednesday night. MLB Network has three games on Wednesday, the Astros at the Brewers, the Dodgers at the Braves and the Red Sox at the Angels. ESPN+ also has a couple of games with Rangers at the Pirates and the Orioles at the Yankees. We’ll look at three teams for MLB parlay on Wednesday. Let’s look at Wednesday, May 24 MLB parlay picks.

Tampa Bay Rays

The Toronto Blue Jays visit the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday and it should be Yusei Kikuchi going for the Blue Jays, while the Rays send their ace, Shane McClanahan. Kikuchi has a nice overall record at 5-1 but his ERA is nothing special at 4.08. It had been a surprisingly good start for Kikuchi but in his last two starts he is starting to get back to normal. He gave up five runs to the Braves two starts ago and then last time out he gave up three runs in just 4.2 innings against the Orioles. McClanahan has been excellent this season for the Rays with a 7-0 record and a 2.05 ERA. He went seven innings last time out against the Brewers and allowed no runs. I’ll take the Rays as the first team in the parlay.

Miami Marlins

Maybe I am just a sucker for punishment, but I still believe in Sandy Alcantara. He is just 1-5 on the season with a 5.05 ERA but I just can’t believe he can go from one of the best pitchers in the league to one of the worst in a single season. I think he still has excellent stuff and will turn the corner. As of this writing, the Rockies were unsure of their starting pitcher for Wednesday, but it doesn’t really matter to me, as Colorado is a bad team at home and on the road. I am backing Alcantara and the Marlins on Wednesday as the second team in the parlay.

Seattle Mariners

The Seattle Mariners visit the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday night and it should be Bryce Miller going for the Mariners. He has been excellent since getting called up by the Mariners and he comes into this game at 2-1 with a 1.42 ERA. Even in his lone loss, he was very good against the Braves, but the offense let him down. The A’s are a bad team going nowhere and there is very little to like about them. It should be Ken Waldichuk going for Oakland and he is 1-3 with a 6.85 ERA. I think you can go against the A’s on a fairly regular basis and put the opposing team into parlays and do well. I will stick with that strategy again on Wednesday night and back the Mariners as the last team in the parlay.
