MLB Parlay Picks for Wednesday, August 2, 2023

MLB Wednesday, August 2 Parlay Picks

The MLB trading deadline has come and gone so teams should now be able to focus on the games instead of the rumors. It is getaway day for some teams so that means there are six matinees on the Wednesday schedule. MLB Network will be showing one of those games, as the Atlanta Braves host the Los Angeles Angels. MLB Network also has a night game, as they will show the game between the Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees. ESPN+ has the game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Toronto Blue Jays. We’ll continue to go with a couple of same game parlays and a three-team parlay. Let’s look at Wednesday, August 2 MLB same game parlay picks.

MLB Same Game Parlay #1

New York Mets -225

Mets-Royals Over 9.5 (-105)

$100 to win $182

The New York Mets visit the Kanas City Royals on Wednesday and it should be Kodai Senga going for New York, while Kansas City sends Alec Marsh. The Mets have played better of late and Senga has been solid in almost all of his starts for the Mets with an ERA just over four. Marsh has been a disaster for the Royals, as he is 0-5 with an ERA of more than seven. I’ll take the Mets and the game over the total.

MLB Same Game Parlay #2

Los Angeles Dodgers -250

A’s-Dodgers Over 9 (-125)

$100 to win $152

We had the Dodgers and the game over the total on Tuesday and we are coming right back with the same parlay again for Wednesday night. The probable pitching matchup should have Hogan Harris going for the A’s, while the Dodgers send Tony Gonsolin. Harris has gone more than 5.1 innings just once in his last five starts and for the season he has an ERA of more than six. Gonsolin is 5-4 with a 4.25 ERA, but he has been getting hit hard lately. I expect a lot of runs in this one and for the Dodgers to find a way to win. I’ll take Los Angeles and the game over the total.

MLB Three-Game Parlay

Milwaukee Brewers -135

New York Yankees -115

San Francisco Giants -170

$100 to win $417

The first team in our three-team MLB parlay is the Milwaukee Brewers as they visit the Washington Nationals. The Brewers should be going with Wade Miley, while the Nats throw MacKenzie Gore. Miley has actually been really good for the Brewers, as he is 6-2 with a 3.06 ERA. Gore is 6-8 with a 4.42 ERA. This is a game the Brewers need to win and I’ll take them as the first team in the parlay.

The Yankees host the Rays on Wednesday in the MLB Network feature contest. It should be a great pitching matchup with Shane McClanahan going against Gerrit Cole. The problem for the Rays is that McClanahan is not the same pitcher he was earlier this season. A back injury seems to have changed McClanahan. On the other side, Cole has been really good all season for the Yankees. I’ll take New York as the second team in the parlay.

The Giants host the Diamondbacks on Wednesday night and as of this writing the Diamondbacks were unsure of their starter, while the Giants are going with Brandon Webb. The Giants have the edge on the mound no matter who the Diamondbacks go with. Webb has an ERA of just over two at home this season. I’ll take the Giants as the last team in the parlay.
