MLB Parlay Picks for Tuesday, May 9, 2023

MLB Tuesday, May 9 Parlay Picks

We had been rolling along with the MLB parlay picks, hitting a number of winning parlays, but that success ended on Friday. I have always said I would rather lose all of the games on a parlay than just one and that is what happened on Friday. Tuesday’s have been pretty good to us this season, so we’ll look to get back on track on Tuesday with a full slate of MLB games. The Red Sox visit the Braves in one of the nationally televised games on TBS, while MLB Network has the marquee matchup of the night with the Astros at the Angels and it could be Shohei Ohtani on the mound in that one. ESPN+ has the late game between the Nationals and Giants. Let’s look at Tuesday, May 9 MLB parlay picks.

Cleveland Guardians

The Guardians send their ace, Shane Bieber to the mound on Tuesday, as they host the Detroit Tigers. Bieber is 2-1 on the season with a 2.96 ERA. The early indications are that the Tigers will throw Michael Lorenzen. He is 1-1 with a 5.14 ERA. I really don’t care who the Tigers throw in this game, as this is a play on Bieber and the Guardians at home. I know Detroit has played better than expected this season, but Cleveland has their ace on the mound and they are at home. I’ll take Cleveland as the first team in the parlay.

New York Mets

The Mets visit the Reds on Tuesday night and it should be Max Scherzer going for New York, while Cincinnati sends Luke Weaver. It is time for Scherzer to get things going in the right direction and this is a perfect spot, as the Reds are not a good team. Scherzer is just 2-2 with a 5.56 ERA, but I expect those numbers to improve. On the other side, Weaver has really struggled, as he is 0-2 with a 7.88 ERA. The Mets have all of the advantages in this contest, so I will take New York as the second team in the parlay.

San Francisco Giants

The late game on Tuesday night can be seen on ESPN+ and it has the Nationals visiting the Giants. The early indications are that it will be Patrick Corbin going for Washington, while San Francisco sends Logan Webb. This play will definitely depend on both of those starting pitchers going. I am not a fan of Corbin, as he is oftentimes a go-against pitcher for me. I know he has pitched a little better of late, but he is still just 1-4 on the season with a 5.17 ERA. The Giants are sending Webb and he is 2-5 with a 3.80 ERA. Webb has been better at home with an ERA of just over two, but he still hasn’t gotten much help as his home record is 1-2. I debated about this pick, as the Giants are not always trustworthy, but Webb is normally very good at home and going against Corbin is never a bad idea. I’ll take the Giants as the third team in the parlay.
