MLB Parlay Picks for Tuesday, April 4, 2023

MLB Tuesday, April 4 Parlay Picks

The first weekend of MLB action is in the books and now we move into our first full week of action, since the season just started last Thursday. The Tuesday, April 4 schedule has 14 games to choose from, so we have plenty of games to consider. We started the season off in fine fashion hitting a three-team parlay and a two-team parlay on Opening Day. The Padres let us down on Friday, but we head into Tuesday well into the black. We’ll keep it simple on Tuesday night and go with one two-team parlay on sides and another two-team parlay on totals. Let’s look at Tuesday, April 4 MLB parlays.

Miami Marlins

I am definitely a fan of Miami’s starting pitcher for Tuesday, Sandy Alcantara. He was outstanding last season for the Marlins and while he wasn’t great in the opener, he still gave Miami a chance to win against the Mets, giving up three hits and three runs in 5.2 innings. I expect him to be better in his second start. The Twins were a rotten team away from home last season, going 32-49 and I am not excited about their starting pitcher on Tuesday, as Kenta Maeda is expected to get the ball. He was a below average pitcher last season for the Twins with an ERA of 4.66. I’ll take the Marlins as the first team in the parlay.

Cleveland Indians

Shane Bieber is expected to get the start on Tuesday night in Oakland against the Athletics. Bieber was very good in his first start of the season, as he held the Mariners to no runs in six innings but the offense couldn’t get anything done and he came away with a no-decision. The A’s are expected to go with J.P. Sears and this will be his first start of the season. He was decent last year for the A’s with a 6-3 record and an ERA just under four. Nothing against Sears, but the A’s are a bad team and Bieber is an excellent pitcher. I’ll take the Indians in this one.

MLB Totals Parlay

Rays-Nationals Over 8.5 (-125), Blue Jays-Royals Over 9.5 (-115)

Rays-Nationals Over 8.5

The pitching matchup for Tuesday has Josh Fleming going for the Rays, while the Nationals send Chad Kuhl. Fleming was awful last season for the Rays with an ERA of more than six. He gave up 54 hits in 35 innings. It wasn’t much better for Kuhl who is now pitching for one of the worst teams in the league. He was awful for the Rockies last season and he may not be much better for the Nationals. Kuhl was 6-11 last season with an ERA of nearly six. I’ll go over the total with the Rays and Nationals on Tuesday night.

Blue Jays-Royals Over 9.5

We should see some runs scored on Tuesday night between the Blue Jays and Royals. Toronto is expected to send Yusei Kikuchi, while the Royals go with Kris Bubic. It was not a good season for Kikuchi a year ago, as he was just 6-7 with an ERA of more than five, while Bubic was 3-13 with an ERA of more than five an a half. The Blue Jays are always a team worth considering when it comes to betting the over, as they have a potent offense and they should score plenty of runs in this one. I’ll go over the total with Toronto and Kansas City on Tuesday.
