MLB Friday, May 5 Parlay Picks

It has been a red-hot start to the MLB season for the MLB parlay picks, as we have had a number of winning parlays. Sometimes on Friday’s we will have a few carryover series that are four-game series, but that is not the case this week, as all 15 series are new ones. All of the games are under the lights except the matinee in Chicago between the Cubs and Marlins on MLB Network. Friday is the day for Apple TV+ televised action and their two games are the White Sox at the Reds and the Twins at the Indians. MLB Network has one late game, as they are showing the Dodgers at the Padres, while ESPN+ has the Astros at the Mariners. Let’s look at Friday, May 5 MLB parlay picks.

St. Louis Cardinals

The Cardinals have not played well for much of this season, but they get a break this weekend, as they face the Tigers. It should be a chance for St. Louis to get going in the right direction. It should be Matthew Boyd going for the Tigers and Jordan Montgomery going for the Cardinals. I don’t really care who Detroit throws, as none of their starting pitchers scare me. Boyd is 1-2 with a 5.47 ERA. Montgomery is 2-4 with a 3.34 ERA. Montgomery has started to come around, as in his last two starts he has gone 12.2 innings and allowed just two runs. I’ll take the Cardinals as the first team in the parlay.

Seattle Mariners

The Mariners should have their ace, Luis Castillo on the mound on Friday, as they host the Houston Astros. This is a key start for Castillo who will want to make a statement against the Astros. Castillo has been excellent at home with a 2-0 record and a 1.14 ERA. On the other side is Christian Javier who is 2-1 with a 3.48 ERA. The Mariners need to start showing they are once again a contender in the American League West and this is a huge series against the Astros. Seattle rearranged their starting rotation to make sure that Castillo got the start in the first game of this series. It messed up some of our plays earlier in the week, but it puts Castillo in line for this start. This is definitely a play on Seattle, as I expect Castillo to come up with a big effort. I’ll take the Mariners as the second team in the parlay.

Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers visit the Giants in one of the late games on Friday night. It should be Corbin Burnes going for Milwaukee, while San Francisco counters with Sean Manaea. In this game, I don’t really care who the Brewers throw, as this is a play against Manaea. Burnes going would definitely help, as he 3-1 with a 4.01 ERA. The play is against Manaea who is 0-1 with a 7.85 ERA. He has made just one quality start this season and that was against the rotten Royals. I’ll take the Brewers as the last team in the parlay.
