MLB Friday, July 7 Parlay Picks

Major League Baseball is getting ready for the All-Star break but before a few days off we have action on Friday and this weekend. Friday’s games will be shown by Apple TV+ and ESPN+. The two games on Apple TV+ are the Atlanta Braves at the Tampa Bay Rays and the Baltimore Orioles at the Minnesota Twins. The ESPN+ games are the New York Mets at the San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Angels at the Los Angeles Dodgers. Let’s look to close out the first half of the MLB season with a winning night. We’ll go with one three-team sides parlay and one two-game parlay on totals. Let’s look at Friday, July 7 MLB parlay picks.

MLB Sides Parlay

New York Yankees -200

Boston Red Sox -230

Cleveland Guardians -180

New York Yankees

The Chicago Cubs visit the New York Yankees on Friday night and we finally get to see Carlos Rodon in a Yankees uniform. He will make his first start for New York after being on the injured list to start the season. He looked really good in his last rehab start, striking out eight and allowing no runs in 3.2 innings. Rodon has a 2.67 ERA in the last two years. It could be Jameson Taillon going for the Cubs and he has been a huge disappointment for Chicago. Regardless of who the Cubs throw, I’ll take the Yankees as the first team in the parlay.

Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox host the Oakland Athletics on Friday and as of this writing the Red Sox were unsure of their starter. It makes no difference to me because the A’s are set to go with Luis Medina who is an automatic go-against pitcher. He is 2-7 with a 6.37 ERA. I’ll take Boston as the second team in the parlay.

Cleveland Guardians

The Kansas City Royals visit the Cleveland Guardians on Friday and it should be Daniel Lynch going for Kansas City, while Cleveland sends Aaron Civale. Lynch is 2-3 with a 4.14 ERA, while Civale is 2-2 with a 2.96 ERA. I expect the Guardians to go on a run soon and take over first place in the AL Central and a series with KC is a good place to start. I’ll take the Guardians as the last team in the parlay.

MLB Totals Parlay

Phillies-Marlins Under 7 ( +100 )

Reds-Brewers Under 8.5 ( -115 )

$100 to win $274

Phillies-Marlins Under

We’ll go with a couple of unders for the Friday MLB totals parlay. The Phillies visit the Marlins on Friday and it should be Zack Wheeler going for Philadelphia, while Miami sends Sandy Alcantara. Both pitchers have had their ups and downs this season, but I am expecting a good start from each of them in this one. Wheeler was really good in his last two road starts, allowing just one run in 12 innings. Alcantara has been a disappointment this season but he still shows flashes of last year’s form. I’ll go under the total with the Phillies and Marlins for the first game in the totals parlay.

Reds-Brewers Under

The Reds visit the Brewers on Friday night in a key game in the NL Central. It should be Andrew Abbott going for the Reds, while the Brewers send Corbin Burnes. Abbott has been outstanding with a 4-0 record and a 1.21 ERA, while Burnes is 6-5 with a 4.00 ERA. I expect Burnes to rise to the occasion for this one and it should be a pitcher’s duel. We’ll go under the total with the Reds and Brewers for the second game in the parlay.
