Odds Analysis

The Indians have a record of 25-23 on the season. They are currently seven games back of the Twins in the American League Central and need to begin cutting into that deficit in order to make it a legitimate race. Cleveland has lost three straight games and is 11-12 on the road this season.

The Red Sox are 26-23 on the year. Boston got off to a slow start but is slowly digging its way out. The Red Sox are one of the most talented teams in the major leagues and while the record isn’t great right now, this team has the ability to turn it on at any point. The Red Sox have gone 13-10 at home on the year in MLB wagering.

Probable Pitchers

Cleveland is projected to send right-hander Jefry Rodriguez to the mound. He got off to a really nice start this season but that was a mirage, as his peripheral stats never backed it up. He is now 1-4 with a 4.08 ERA after some recent trouble and needs a bit of luck to handle a potent Boston offense. Rodriguez is not missing enough bats to consistently find success at the major league level.

The Red Sox are expected to send right-hander Rick Porcello to the mound. He is just 3-4 with a 4.45 ERA on the season but has a much longer track record of success. Porcello had an awful start to the season but has ironed out his issues of late. He has only allowed three earned runs over 13 innings in his past two starts and will aim to keep it going in this one.

Player To Watch

Rafael Devers -- The Red Sox have a bunch of established stars in the middle of their lineup, including Mookie Betts, J.D. Martinez, Andrew Benintendi and Xander Bogaerts. Devers is a young and talented player who is the next in line to be a force at the plate.

He homered in three straight games this week and is swinging a really hot bat right now. On the year, Devers is batting .315 with six homers, 27 RBIs and an OPS of .862. Boston is in a great place with talent up and down its batting order, and the emergence of Devers has made it that much more potent.

Free MLB ATS Picks

The Red Sox are going to start reeling off a bunch of wins at some point, and this could be a good spot to start. Rodriguez could be in for a long afternoon as the Boston offense will be licking its chops to go against him. The Red Sox are the easy pick to win this game at home, as Porcello should be able to keep the Indians at bay and allow his offense to pull away in MLB wagering.

MLB Pick: Boston Red Sox 9, Cleveland Indians 4
